Policies

The Palace Team


• Temperature checks will be taken daily before entering the building
• All team members will be required to wash their hands (or use hand sanitiser)
every hour
• All team members will be required to stay at home if unwell
• All team members will be required to follow official guidance on self-isolating
• All team members will be required to wear PPE as appropriate
• The team will follow a policy of no physical contact and maintain social
distancing, wherever possible

The Palace Guests


• Your temperature will be taken at the hotel entrance and if your temperature is
38 degrees or above you, unfortunately, you will be declined entry and your
deposit refunded or your stay re-scheduled.
• Hotel residents will have to have their temperature recorded once a day during
their stay with us
• Please respect the social distancing measures in place
• We have cleaned your bedroom with extra care and sanitised it prior to your
stay
• We have removed non-essential items to minimise any contamination risk
• To minimise wastage and our carbon footprint amenity bottles in bathrooms
will be available only upon request. Disinfectant soap will be placed in all
bathrooms.
• Please use your bedroom toilet rather than toilets in public areas
• Please wash your hands when returning to your bedroom
• Please avoid cash spending and choose contactless payment options such as
debit and credit cards during your stay with us
• Due to the COVID-19 restrictions currently in place, some of our services and
facilities are unfortunately limited or not available
• You can contact the Reception at any time prior to, and during your stay,
should you have concerns related to this or any other matter

Our Hotel
• The highest food safety standards will continue to be maintained
• Room service will only be delivered to the bedroom door
• Social distancing measures will be in place in all common areas
• A one way system throughout the hotel will be implemented where possible
• The lift will only be available for the elderly and those with physical disabilities
• Signage will be displayed in all common areas to reinforce social distancing
message
• Enhanced cleaning programme in public areas with an increased frequency in
disinfection of high touch areas such as a pillars and doors
• Hand sanitising stations will be provided at key areas
• Housekeeping will be available on request only, guests to vacate room and
ventilate prior to housekeeping staff entering
• Additional disinfection will be in place of high touch room and bathroom areas
(Door knobs, TV and AC Remote)
• We have created flexible terms and conditions for all individual bookings.

Our Business Partners


• We will be receiving visitors and contractors to site by appointment in advance
only
• Your temperature will be taken at the hotel entrance and if your temperature is
38 degrees or above you will be refused entry
• Deliveries will only be received at the main palace entrance, suppliers may not
enter the premises unless they have informed prior

General Practices & Protocols, Food & Beverage

• We are allowing limited seating in the dining room and expanded our outdoor
space.
• Sanitisers will be placed on each table and guests are encouraged to use them
before and after their meal
• We have established strict table/chair sanitisation procedures between guest
seating periods
• We have suspended all buffets. Breakfast will be available from an a la carte
menu
• We encourage take away services
• Salt and pepper shakers will be removed and available on request. They will be
sanitized after each use
• We encourage card payments where possible
• All menus will be wiped and sanitised after the guest leaves

Guest Services
• The guest laundry service will be available upon request. Our staff will be
taking all precautionary measures while handling your clothes.
• All activities such as the palace tour will be provided within the social
distancing regulations
• Our check in and out procedure will have limited contact where person waiting
will be requested to wait in the lobby instead of crowding at the reception
• Luggage handling will be done with utmost care and sanitation to promote the
safety of our guests and palace team
• If walking on hotel gardens we advise you to maintain social distancing and
refrain from touching pillars

Our teams commitment to you


• All team members are required to:-
o Stay home when unwell
o Practice good personal hygiene including regular hand washing
o Maintain social distance
o Wear PPE where appropriate
o Follow the company’s COVID-19 Secure operating procedures
• We have changed most of our on-property team meetings to digital meetings
• We have staggered our team’s days of service and have reduced the total staff
count
• Our team have and will receive ongoing training as government guidelines are
changed and updated
• Our team will be greeting you keeping social distancing in place

It is important to note, that for the safety of our guests and the safety of our team,
that any guests displaying symptoms consistent with COVID-19 will be requested
to seek medical attention. Should you be advised to self-isolate, we will request
that you check out immediately and return home.

In addition to hand sanitisers placed throughout, we have masks and gloves


available on request and a doctor on call.

We ask that everyone respect the 2m social distancing guidance.

And finally, please treat our team and your fellow guests with kindness and
respect; this is a difficult time for all of us.
