SESSION GUIDE

Session Number and Title 4. EXPLORING CAPCUT IN EDITING VIDEO PRESENTATIONS ON ANDROIDS
Duration 1 hour and 30 minutes

Target Participants JHS FILIPINO SUBJECT TEACHERS

campaigns, presentations, and info graphics.
Link to the Next Session/Topic ` This session provides an input that is a prerequisite in using to Canva as a tool that can be used in creating video lessons.

How does this contribute to the DEPED CONTINUITY PLAN – LEARNING MODALITY – DISTANCE LEARNING
program outcomes?
In the integration of inputs into the BE-LCP, the Office of the Secretary was guided by the following principles:
1. Protect the health, safety and well-being of learners, teachers and personnel, and prevent the further transmission of
COVID-19;
2. Ensure learning continuity through K-12 curriculum adjustments, alignment of learning materials, deployment of
multiple learning delivery modalities, provision of corresponding training for teachers and school leaders, and proper
orientation of parents or guardians of learners;

3. Be sensitive to equity considerations and concerns, and endeavor to address them the best we can; and
4. Link and bridge the BE-LCP to DepEd’s pivot to quality and into the future of education, under the framework of
SulongEduKalidad and Futures Thinking in Education.

Thus, the use of different learning modalities to meet the needs of the learners should be implemented. Moreover,
teachers and students are new to these kinds of modalities. Being in an unfamiliar territory, teachers need to adapt to the
changes to provide quality education among learners. Students these days are digital natives and studies say that they would
learn better and fasterwhen they are taught in the way they prefer. Using technological advancements to cater the
teachinglearning process amidst pandemic may be the key to address the gap on educational system.

Learning Objectives At the end of the session, the participants are expected to:
• determine the importance and advantages of using Capcut in editing video lessons to enhance and meet the
learners’ needs in the Blended Distance Learning;
• explore the necessary features of Capcut as tool for editing videos using phones; and
• allows users to not only add trove of stickers, filter and clean interface but also add high-quality audio tracks and
control its position to match the video.
Key Understandings Capcut is an excellent video editor, which is more comprehensive editing tool. It supports a wide range of file types
and offers all common editing tools, along with filters, transitions, animation, text, fast video mode and etc.
Capcut is a mobile app for iOs and android devices, specifically developed to complement the basic video editing
features of the famous social platform, TikTok. The app is free to use and promoted as a free TikTok editing app. CapCut
Android and CapCut iOS both have similar features that allow you to modify your TikTok videos with filters, stickers, speed
changes, background music, effects, and more. In addition, it comes with split, reverse, and other editing tools to make
your TikTok videos look more polished and professional.

collaborate among their colleagues in this activity but must
have his/her own output/s. Google Drive

2. Open your play store in your androids and install Capcut-

account.
3. Using the information learned from the speaker edit a video and
send it thru the Google drive provided.

present their output for evaluation.

b. How can you implement these technological advancements in
your teaching-learning process?
c. From your observation and experience, how can we improve the
teaching-learning process in the 21 st century amidst this
pandemic?

The participants will be given 15 minutes to answer the following


question.

With the advent of social media, it is no longer enough to merely make


print materials and present in ppt, but better as a video lessen in
presenting to the students. CapCut is a product that simplifies the process
with video editing. It is a resource for anyone who wants to edit and
create a high quality video, from entrepreneurs to educators, to anyone
just trying to build a brand. This review discusses the pros and cons of
editing videos with CapCut and how it can help with the library brand and
other library materials.

The following questions may help expound more the knowledge of the
participants about Google Drive and Google Forms.
