At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
a. name the different types of Personal Protective Equipment,
b. identify Personal Protective Equipment used in Electronics Consumer Servicing, and
c. appreciates the usage of Personal Protective Equipment correctly.
II. Subject Matter:
Topic: Personal Protective Equipment
Materials: Power point Presentation, Realia, Instructional Materials
References: Electronics for Life Learner’s Materials, pages 65-66
III. Procedures:
A. Preliminaries
Good morning class!
Let us stand and pray, Carla kindly lead the pray.
B. Motivation
Class, who among you here have already watch a motor racing?
What did you observe about their attire?
Yes, correct! What about their preparation before going to race? What do they usually
wear?
That’s right, why do you think they should wear helmet?
Exactly! What else do they wear?
That’s right, what is the purpose of this supporters?
Very good! So class, what do you call these things they wear?
Correct! We call those things as their protection, or what we call Personal Protective
Equipment.
Do you believe that there is also a Personal Protective Equipment in Electronics?
That’s right, there is. But before we proceed to our discussion, we’ll have an activity first.

3. Abstraction
So, Personal Protective Equipment in Electronics Consumer Servicing refers to protective
clothing, goggles, rubber sole, apron, dust mask or other gear designed to protect the wearer’s
body or clothing from injury by electrical hazards, heat, chemicals and infection for job-related
occupational safety and health purposes.
The Personal Protective Equipment are dust mask, gloves, apron, goggles and rubber sole.
It is said that this equipment protects the wearer free from any incidents, right?
What else the function of this PPE class?

4. Application
Since we have already discussed the Personal Protective Equipment in Electronics
Servicing, I want you to group you into two.
Each group will be given a bond paper. Each bond paper contains a task and the task is
stated in the bond paper.
Kindly count and group yourselves into two. You’ll be given 10 minutes to do the task
and another 5 minutes to performed the task.
Here are the criteria:

Team work/Cooperation 10 points
Time 5 points

IV. Evaluation
Identify the statement. Write TRUE if the statement is true and FALSE if the statement
is false.
