▪ Set of shared beliefs, attitudes, values, and behavioral patterns of a group or
organization followed by society or any religion is known as culture.
▪ It is claimed by Scholar that culture is an historical heritage of a nation. People or
society follow in the fields of art, architecture, dress, food, language, fiction and
other cultural norms and hobbies .
▪ But Islam has its own unique Islamic culture.
▪ Islam has wide rules and regulations and parameters. within these parameters
an African, Bengali, Pakistani, British and Muslims in all over the world remain
same as follow these parameters in their life.
▪ The most important Muslim practices are the Five Pillars of Islam.
▪ The Five Pillars of Islam are the five obligations that every Muslim must
have in order to live a good and responsible life according to Islam.
▪ The Five Pillars consist of:
1. Shahadah
2. Salat
3. Zakat
4. Sawm
5. Hajj
Shahadah
It is first thing to do to enter Islam. It means sincerely reciting the Muslim profession of
faith. God is one and Holy Prophet(P.B.U.H) last prophet of Allah is also included in
Shahadah.
Salat
It means performing ritual prayers in the proper way
five times each day. Muslims and followers of islam
offer prayer five times a day.

Zakat
paying an alms (or charity) tax to benefit the poor
and the needy.
▪ Sawm
fasting during the month of Ramadan

▪ Hajj
pilgrimage to Mecca
▪ Carrying out these obligations provides the framework of a Muslim's life and
modifies their everyday activities to religious devotion.
▪ Islam always wants his follower to have a strict faith in Islam and God and islam
also wants to put this faith into action. It does not matter how sincerely a Muslim
believe in Islam which is judge through his actions.
▪ Carrying out the Five Pillars demonstrates that the Muslim is putting their faith first,
and not just trying to fit it in around their secular lives.
▪ Muslims have six main beliefs.
❖Belief in Allah as the one and only God
❖Belief in angels
❖Belief in the holy books
❖Belief in the Prophets e.g. Adam, Ibrahim (Abraham), Musa (Moses), Dawud
(David), Isa (Jesus).
❖Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) is the final prophet.
▪ The Day of Judgement
It will be that day when the life of every human being will be judged. On this day It
will be decided that whether someone will go to heaven or hell.

▪ Belief in Predestination
❖Muslims believe that they are limited and they have to spend life according to will
of Islam and God. They are not free to decide in life
▪ ALLAH
Muslims use this name for the supreme and unique God, who is the creator
and ruler of everything we see.

▪ For all Muslims, the heart of faith is obedience to the will of Allah.

❖Allah is eternal, omniscient, and omnipotent..


❖.Allah is and Allah will always be. Everything in this world is mortal except Allah
❖Allah knows everything which happened in past or happens now.
❖Allah can do anything. Nothing is impossible for him.
▪ A Muslim should follow the following code of behavior.
✓ Truthfulness
✓ Sincerity
✓ Unselfishness
✓ Humility
✓ Patience
✓ Forgiveness
✓ Purity and cleanliness
✓ Honesty
✓ Kindness to human as well as animals
✓ Courage
✓ Moderation
▪ We can draw following conclusion from Islamic Culture.
➢ Islamic culture is a complete code of life.
➢ It provides a clear way to lead a successful life in every field and profession of life.
➢ Islamic Culture accept only those cultures whose code of conduct lies within
Islamic parameters.
➢ History reveals that many an artists, poet and author had adjusted to Islamic
requirements after accepting Islam.
