LET'S TALK ABOUT

LAYERS OF ROCKS

Describing possible events in an area through the
rock layers found therein

THREE LAYERS OF ROCK

Did you know that there are different
types of layers of rocks? Well, there are
actually three, and here we'll take you
through what these rocks are, how they
are made, and much more.

IGNEOUS ROCKS

Igneous forms when magma cools and crystallises. So when there
are igneous rocks on the area it means that a volcano was once
active in that area. Weathering also affects igneous rock because
they are on the surface. You can pretty determine what happened
in an area because sometimes natural phenomenon leave a mark in
an area.

DIVE INTO DETAILS

Igneous rock does not have any fossil deposits so you can
only determine what happened in that area like typhoon
passing and not have any prehistoric hints

SEDIMENTARY ROCKS
Sedimentary rocks are types of rock that
are formed by the accumulation or
deposition of mineral or organic particles
at Earth's surface

VISUALIZE IT
Sedimentary rocks are due to erosion and you can find them in
near riverbeds, pond and coast where erosion is prone.
Sedimentary rocks arw also called as the primary story teller of the
past because they tell about past climate, life and major event in
earth's surface

Metamorphic rocks
Metamorphic rocks arise from the
transformation of existing rock to new types of
rock, in a process called metamorphism.

KEEP IT RELEVANT
Metamorphic rocks tells us about plate tectonic movements and
how the continents were shoved together and pulled apart.
Meteorites from space are among the oldest rocks in the solar
system and tells us the age and formation
