12 Allegro =H Do Nor % PHOTOCOPY Third movement from Concerto in G, Op. 34 ‘© MUSIC RIEDING Allegro [J =.66] 3 v Sy Se ee Oskar Rieding (1640-1918) was born in north Germany and studied in Belin and Leipzig, He worked as a violinist in Vienna, and then in Budapest as leader of the Opera orchestra for more than 30 years; after his retirement he went on living in Hungary. He published a number of concertos, concertinos and other works as teaching pieces for the violin, and some of these have continued to be used for study purposes. This concerto finale has the rhythmic patterns and the regular phrase structure ofthe 18th-century dance called the rigaudon.
