a. COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course will help the students understand the ways to connect their strengths and skills to future
employment opportunities and also become more capable as well as becoming confident in the
workplace.

It will act as the base for personality and communication enhancement. The aim of this course is to
enhance students' communication skills in the context that they will be able to use English in formal
and informal situations. It will help the students in developing creative thinking and enable them to
express their ideas with effective communication.

Additionally, the course will focus on grammar and placement related activities so that the students
will learn to start and continue a conversation naturally, build up the confidence to speak and make
correct sentence structures while speaking.

b. COURSE OBJECTIVES

1. Improve grammar and conversation skills to use language accurately and appropriately for
academic, social, professional, and other purposes.
2. Empower students to be able to articulate their ideas in English language with ease.
3. To help students initially reduce, eventually eliminating the influence of mother (MTI) tongue in
both, accent, and pronunciation and acquire English as a secondary language more effectively.
4. develop learners` listening skills and the skills of coherent topic development and sustenance in
both oral and written discourse
5. Enhance student’s ability to articulate their ideas while understanding the nuances of various
communication styles and implementing the same as per the requirement.
6. Elevate student’s problem-solving and critical thinking skills, while making them learn decision-
making.
7. Improve language proficiency of students with emphasis on listening, speaking, reading, and
writing (LSRW) skills.
COURSE OUTCOMES
On completion of this course, the students will be able to
CO1 Enhanced understanding about their career and surroundings in order to ensure active
participation in GDs through application of various idea generation techniques and
application of creative thinking.
CO2 Ability to apply knowledge of creating flawless presentations and deliver the same while
communicating professionally, managing time effectively and exhibiting a strong hold over
grammar.

CO3 Enhanced knowledge of current affairs and proficiency to exhibit the same during group
discussions and interview rounds.

CO4 Ability to evaluate their own performance in front of an audience.
