Important of taking notes

Taking forces one to pay attention on what is being discussed in class. It also helps one to learn
which shows that one is actively engaging. Also help one to understand the idea and can also revisit
the notes later.it also helps one in keeping record of what is being learnt. It helps one to study while
reviewing their notes later. Note taking keeps one awake hence focusing in class.

Methods of note taking

There are several methods of note taking this are include; outline method -this is when you simplify
the idea and take the key points that are going to be discussed in a lesson. The other is Cornell
method in this method you are still using the key points but in this you go deeper into the organizing
method. The page is broken into three sections: the cue, wider column your actual notes and
summary at the bottom. In the cue section this is where you fill your main points, questions and
more the other one is note section this is where you expand and explain the cue points. The other is
the summary section this is where you write up at the end summarizing all information in a clear
form.
