Sec 1 Adjustment Standard

1-1 Compressed Air Pressure
The compressed air for P3, P4 and P6 that is used on the top of the unit can be adjusted.

Improperly adjusted compressed air can cause an operation error or parts damage.

1-2 Cheese Plate

● Adjustment standard values under general conditions
A = 36 mm, B = 39.5 mm, C = 17 mm

If the winding diameter is Φ280 mm or greater, the cheese plate comes into contact with the package. In this
case, adjust A and B.
If there is a problem with the package winding operation, adjust B and C so that the cheese plate does not
come into contact with the package.

1-3 Take-up Tube & Bearing Center Position
The bearing center position is set to the standard value while a new take-up tube is attached.

[Standard Values for Standard Specification]

(The standard value varies depending on the package brake method.)
L side bearing center gap A = 0.5 to 1.5 mm (From the start to the end of the winding)
R side bearing center gap B = 0.5 to 1.5 mm (From the start to the end of the winding)
Sleeve position C = 29 to 32 mm (From the start to the end of the winding)
R side drum gap D = 0.5 to 1.0 mm
* If the dimensions for A, B and C do not meet the standard requirements, replace with a part that complies.

• If not properly adjusted, it can cause an operation error or parts damage, and can
also cause injury.
• If the take-up tube that is used does not meet the standard requirements, it may
lead to hazardous conditions causing major vibration.

Winding Position Adjustment Jig

When the adjustment jig is used, the consistency in the winding positions between units can be better
maintained.

1. Pull the unit operation switch to fix the take-up tube securely.
2. Attach the adjustment jig to the L side bearing center section.
3. Move the cradle to the right to perform the positioning operation on the edge of the drum.

1-5 Contact Pressure

The contact pressure is adjusted using the P4 air
pressure at the contact spring position.

● P4 air pressure
The standard value is 0.10 MPa. When necessary, you
can adjust the pressure between 0.00 and 0.20 MPa.

2-1 Bearing Center Replacement Method
The screws can be screwed in and removed using a removal / installation tool (used for both L and R sides)
while making sure the bearing center is held securely.

If you do not use the removal / installation tool, the screws may not tighten
completely. As a result, the bearing center could fall off during operation and lead to

2-2 Lubrication for the Slide Section of R Side Bearing Center

The slide section needs to be lubricated regularly in order to maintain stable operation.

2-3 Cleaning the Slide Section of R Side Bearing Center

If any cotton fly is jammed inside the slide section, it can prevent or obstruct the installation of the take-up tube,
etc. It is therefore, important to remove the cotton fly
regularly.

2-4 Lubrication for the Bearing Center section of R Side Bearing Center
The bearing center is an extremely important part when creating the package, and as a result, it requires
regular lubrication.
The L side uses a bearing center that does not require lubrication.
