8 P P P P P P Starting at the top of the instrument and reading horizontally, you will see
9 P P LD LD P P there are six empty blocks for each minute of the lesson. Each of these empty
10 P P P P P P blocks represents a 10 second interval.

Your job is to observe the class and place a “code” (a letter) in the block

13 P P LD LD P P EVERY 10 SECONDS until the lesson ends. Be sure to fill each
14 P P P P P P block in order every 10 seconds.

16 P P P P P P This tool is constructed to accommodate lessons up to 45 minutes long. Start
filling in the blocks promptly in the first minute of class. A watch, stopwatch,
