Teaching tips for the didactical unit

● Use body language and visual aids to introduce and review key content.
● Since some students might have a little exposure to the English language outside your class,
speak at a low pace and as clearly as possible.
● Reinforce spelling both orally and in writing using key vocabulary presented along the unit.
● Promote speaking activities and collaborative work among students.
● Promote generosity by helping others, mostly towards those with special needs.

● Carry out classroom activities that can benefit different learning styles and areas of growth

● During your planning or class preparation, check the pronunciation of vocabulary you will teach
to do a proper modeling of each word.
● Make sure all your ludic activities have a specific purpose. They can either be a way of formative

Activation: Teaching tip: Since you know your class age range, prepare flashcards/slides with TV

etapa de la niñez o etapa adulta, cartulina o papel craft, páginas de colores, marcadores permanentes

Objetivo del estudiante: Este día podré describir hábitos que solía tener en mi niñez.
Activation: Recomendaciones de enseñanza: Ya que está familiarizado con los rangos de edades
(5 minutes) entre su grupo de estudiantes, prepare tarjetas/diapositivas con programas de
televisión/comidas/actividades que sus estudiantes puedan relacionar con su etapa de
niñez o en su etapa actual. Para la formación de Asesores Educativos
tarjetas/diapositivas con imágenes de Jardín Infantil, mango twist, juego con chibolas,
el logo del MINED, entre otros.

● Muestre las siguientes imágenes o haga un bosquejo de un niño/niña y una

persona adulta.

● Pregunte a su audiencia cuál imagen representa su pasado y cuál su presente.

Resalte con voz firme o anote en la pizarra PRESENT y PAST, refuerce el
significado de ambas palabras con lenguaje corporal.
● Muestre a su audiencia diferentes tarjetas/diapositivas relacionadas con su
“childhood” y “adulthood”. La audiencia tiene que decir “childhood” o
“adulthood” acorde con la relación entre ellos.
