CACHO & CE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES [°° "0c? 73 SUPREME COURT : Manila SPECIAL SECOND DIVISION NOTICE Sirs/Mesdames: Please take notice that the Court, Special Second Division, issued a Resolution dated 13 September 2021 which reads as follows: “A.C, No. 11487 (Shirley Dal-Castaieda vs. Atty, Florencio A. Narido)- Acting on the letter with enclosure dated 20 August 2018 of a “Concerned Employee,” informing the Court that respondent Atty. Florencio A. Narido returned to work in April 2018 as an Attomey VI of the National Commission on Indigenous People (NCIP), Lanao del Norte Provincial Office without the proper resolution lifting his suspension from the practice of law imposed in the Resolution dated 21 November 2016, and considering the rulings of the Court in A.C. No. 3731 (Sebastian vs. Bajar), AC. No. 5377 (Lingan vs. Calubaquib and Baliga) and A.C. No. 9209 (Ferguson vs. Ramos), respondent Atty. Narido, being a government employee, is not excluded from complying with the requirements in the matter of the lifting of the order of his suspension from the practice of law, the Court resolves to: 1, REQUIRE respondent Atty. Florencio A. Narido to submit, in addition to the certifications required in the Resolution dated 5 July 2017, certifications from the National Commission on Indigenous People, Quezon City and/or National Commission on Indigenous People, Region X, Cagayan de Oro City, affirming that he hhas been suspended and/or relieved of his official functions as Attomey VI and Provincial Legal Officer without pay, during the period from 3 March 2017 to 3 April 2017; 2, HOLD IN ABEYANCE the lifting of the order of suspension of respondent pending submission of the aforesaid certifications and compliance with the Resolution dated 5 July 2017; and 3. REQUIRE Atty. Florencio A. Narido to SHOW CAUSE why he should not be further penalized for failure to comply with the directives of the Court despite receipt of the Resolution dated 5 July 2017.
