THE EMPOWERMENT OF LOCAL ECONOMY THROUGH THE

DEVELOPMENT OF BANYU LUMUT TOURISM PARK IN TEGAREN

VILLAGE, TUGU DISTRICT, TRENGGALEK REGENCY

Abstract : This study aims to describe the local economic empowerment of Tegaren Village
through the Development of the Banyu Lumut Tourism Park. Knowing the existing forms of
local economic empowerment, the success of community empowerment, as well as the
constraints and solutions provided in the process of empowering the local economy through the
development of the Banyu Lumut Tourism Park. This study used a qualitative approach with a
descriptive type. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and
documentation. The results of this study are a form of local economic empowerment that has
been present in the form of empowerment at the Banyu Lumut Tourism Park, as well as
supporting training. The success of empowerment can be seen from the improvement of the
community's economy towards a better direction than before, starting with changes in people's
livelihoods. The obstacles faced during the process of empowering the local economy are natural
constraints and government constraints. Solutions to overcome these obstacles are carried out by
implementing a health protocol campaign, as well as processing the licensing application for
cooperation letters (PKS).
