To Whom it May Concern,
Lauren Schoen was a student teacher in my classroom at GA Frost Environmental
Science Middle/High School for the Fall 2021 semester. She had the opportunity to
teach Algebra 2 and Pre-Calculus to a diverse group of high school students. Lauren
brings a high level of energy and enthusiasm to the classroom. She makes quick but
meaningful connections with her students. These connections help her when
challenging students to strive for understanding of dificult concepts. Students fee!
supported and encouraged in Lauren's classroom and are comfortable taking academic
risks,
Lauren's lessons are scaffolded in a way that ail students can find a stating point in the
material and then build on that foundation to achieve the desired standard. She takes
the time to exp
challenge students and to answer questions that students may have regarding the
materia.
Professionalism is a strength of Lauren's. She did not miss a day of school during
sludent teaching, She was on time and prepared for the day's lessons. Lauren also took
‘an interest in students’ lives outside of school. She attended sporting events and tutored
middle school athletes after school.
concepts thoroughly and is prepared to both ask questions that
Lauren will be an asset to any school family that she joins.
