AdBlue Tank Interference

AdBlue Tank Interference

Concerns:
FH, FM, FE tractors with ADTM-SS, FRAME-LOW, ADTR125 or ADTR95.

5WH140, 5WH150 or 5WH160

Problem:
If the vehicle combination, tractor/trailer operates in an uneven area, the trailer might hit
the sensor for the AdBlue tank.

Reason:
The AdBlue tank is mounted too high under the above described driving conditions.

Action:
Action 1: An adapter plate can be mounted to lower the tank (60 mm) to a position
where the AdBlue sensor is under the top of the frame which will minimize the risk
for interference.
An adapter plate needs to be manufactured according to the drawing below.

‫تم تركيب خزان ‪ AdBlue‬في مكان مرتفع ً‬

‫جدا في ظل ظروف القيادة الموصوفة أعاله‪.‬‬

‫عمل‪:‬‬

‫اإلجراء ‪ :1‬يمكن تركيب لوحة مهايئ لخفض الخزان (‪ 60‬مم) إلى موضع يكون فيه مستشعر ‪ AdBlue‬أسفل‬
‫الجزء العلوي من اإلطار مما يقلل من مخاطر التداخل‪.‬‬

‫يجب تصنيع لوحة المهايئ وف ًقا للرسم أدناه‪.‬‬

The four holes on the picture need to be filled up with screws and nuts to decrease the
stress in the frame.

Action 2: Only to be used on vehicles with EXD-REAR since Action 1 would cause
interference with the exhaust pipe, or ADCHASX (chassis skirts) since Action 1 would
cause a problem when filling AdBlue from a nozzle. The AdBlue tank and the fuel tank
have to change position. The AdBlue tank has to be mounted behind the fuel tank
instead. This affects the fuel tank in terms of fuel volume as the AdBlue tank requires
more space towards the rear suspension bracket at the frame. The change in position of
the tanks makes it necessary to install a smaller fuel tank due to less space. NOTE!
When dismounting the AdBlue system (hoses etc), it is essential to make sure that no
dirt etc. gets into the system.

Routing: The routing of the AdBlue- and water hoses must be changed. Therefore it

below.

A) Add an extra bracket (P/N 965564). Make a hole and attach the bracket according
tothe picture.
B) Cut away parts of the existing bracket to make it look as on the picture.

The new routing of the water hoses might require longer hoses. If new longer hoses are
needed they are to be manufactured in workshop by using Volvo Standard hose, part
number 946652. The AdBlue hoses will use existing brackets as well as a new bracket
that will be modified according to earlier pictures.

‫العمل باستخدام خرطوم فولفو القياسي ‪ ،‬رقم الجزء ‪ .946652‬ستستخدم خراطيم ‪ AdBlue‬األقواس الموجودة باإلضافة إلى‬
‫حامل جديد سيتم تعديله وف ًقا للصور السابقة‪.‬‬
