Both QS and the Times have a selection of international and regional tables, but QS has one exclusive for the Arab Region.
In Shanghai, 30% are counted for nobel prizes and field medals.
In Shanghai, more than 1300 universities are actually ranked and the best 800 are published.
In Times, universities are excluded if they do not teach undergraduates or if their research output is fewer than 1,000 articles between 2012 and 2016 (minimum 150 a year).
In Times, to raise the university’s global profile contact branding@timeshighereducation.com, in QS, December every year, email: ranking@qs.com
Times is audited independently by PWC.
Times methodology uses the same 13 indicator to rank young universities, but they adjust the criteria to show their special characteristics, unlike QS.
Webometrics, the aim of the ranking is to improve the presence of the academic and research institutions on the Web.
