NARRATIVE REPORT
I. PREFACE

Rizal Elementary School is a complete elementary school located at the eastern portion of the barangay.
It is 7 kilometers away from the poblacion, accessible by any means of land transportation. There are seven
teachers, with seven classes, from kindergarten to grade six, with 1 section per grade level. It is manned by
the School Head, Glenda I. Licardo.

Additional one DPWH building with two unit classrooms occupied by Kindergarten and Grade I level.

Teachers and other educational stake holders spearheaded by the GPTA officers worked hand in hand in
the preparation for the opening of classes during the Brigada or Maintenance Week.

 IV. INTRODUCTION

The Brigada Eskwela Activity is a weeklong activity, also known as the maintenance
week with the theme “ Isanag Pamayanan, Isang Bayanihan Para sa Handa at Ligtas na
Paaralan”. The spirit of voluntarism encourages to develop unity among all stakeholders as
one family which aims in developing “bayanihan”. The purpose of this activity is to prepare
the school for the opening of classes, so that the school would be ready, free from any
hazardous objects, clean and orderly, that would help and motivate the learners in the
learning process.

It was started with a Kick-Off activity participated by the different agencies such as LGU
Municipal officials, Secondary and Elementary teachers. This year we had the opening
program last May 15, 2017. It started with a motorcade and followed by a short program at
Palompon Social Center. The Brigada Eskwela ended last May 20, 2017. This is to ensure
that the school is already prepared before the official start of classes. Rizal Elementary
School had its own initiatives on “Brigada Eskwela Program”. This is to maximize the
participation of every member of the school, the PTA officers headed by Analyn L. Cabagte
and other education stake holders.
