I. ACTIVITIES
 Cleanliness Drive at the park or a certain place in the
barangay
 Seminar about Physical Hygiene (Children)
 Tree Planting activities in landslides prone areas.
 Community tutorial ( exclusive for elementary students
only)

II. LOCATION
This study will be conducted at Brgy. Cabintan, Ormoc
City, Leyte. Cabintan is an upland barangay in the city of
Ormoc, Leyte. It is considered as the Vegetable Bowl of
Eastern Visayas as it is the supplier of vegetables not just
region VIII but also in other malls and markets.
III. OBJECTIVES
To reduce pollution, protects unique ecosystems, prevents the
extinction of endangered species and conserves resources,
such as water, land and air.
It entails keeping and providing some informations that could
help the children's hands, head and body clean so as to stop
the spread of germs and illness. The physical hygiene benefits
your own health and impacts the lives of those around you,
too.
The Tree Planting Activity aims to raise awareness to the
society in the importance of planting and saving trees, express
our concern to the environment, diminish the unfavorable
effects of climate change and most importantly, to save more
lives from landslides.
To provide much better opportunity for the students who are
struggling for their studies and help students overcome
academic challenges and lead them to autonomous or
independent learning.
IV. INTRODUCTION

(Discuss the objective of NSTP/CWTS)

The primary objective of the NSTP is to promote the role

of the youth in nation-building. As such, it aims to encourage
the youth to become civic leaders and volunteers whom could
be called upon by the nation in cases their services are
needed. One of the objectives of this program is to help
student develop their nationalism by engaging to activities
that centered on socio-civic efforts and community service.
The NSTP motivates students to actively involve themselves in
community development. Students, faculties, and non-
teaching personnel’s passion to help others remains alive as
they extend knowledge and skills to help the community
through community service.

We believe that through this activities it could help the

citizens, nature and the community to form a strong
relationship for the safetyness and harmony of the people.
Cleaning the park give more beautiful ambiance; having a
seminar about physical hygiene for the children makes them
healthy and safe; tree planting can avoid prone landslides and
flood areas and also, the community tutorial is to make a
difference in educational purposes specially to enhance their
basic skill and learning through out the topic. The whole
purpose in these activities is to help the people who are living
in this community in a simple and better way.

The activities that are mentioned above are being

relevant to the community in a way that it could make a
difference or change to the community for its betterment. The
activities such as cleaning, conducting a seminar, tree
planting , and tutoring are just some activities that we chose
because we believe that it could make the community a better
place for living. . Cleanliness Drive at the park or a certain
place in the barangay can encourage people in the community
especially the youth that maintaining cleanliness is the
essential part of healthy living because it is the cleanliness
only which helps to improve our personality by keeping clean
externally and internally, also it is very important to keep our
community clean so that humans, animals, and plants are not
exposed to pollutants that can harm them. If we don't have a
clean environment, then pollution can spread and nature will
be impacted. A seminar about physical hygiene for children is
very necessary especially in the middle of this pandemic
where children is one of the most vulnerable to catch the
virus, that's why we believe that seminar is necessary in a way
that somehow it could give the children some important
knowledge and information to avoid catching the said virus.
The tree planting activity in landslide prone areas is also
necessary because aside from the fact it could decrease the
possibility of rock, soil, artificial fill or a combination of the
three to move down a slope, most importantly the fact that
the trees are the biggest plants on the planet, they give us
oxygen, store carbon, stabilise the soil and give life to the
world's wildlife. They also provide us with the materials for
tools and shelter. The last activity to mention is the
Community tutorial, we believe that by this simple act of
helping the elementary students that are struggling to their
modules could help resolve or reduce the problems of the
people in the community.
