1. Look at the walls of the classroom. What are posted on the walls? What heroes,
religious figures, lessons, visual aids, announcements, do you see posted?
There are many posted figures in the walls of the classroom I have visited. I saw posted
board displays which comprises of the different lessons to be discuss and lessons that
were discussed already. It also has names of honor students in the class. I saw different
styles of board displays such as in the form of plants and square displays. In the other
wall, I saw all the lists of rules and regulations in the classroom to be followed by the
students for the class to maintain its order and peace. I only see religious figure of Jesus
Christ located in the front of the board where all students can see it all the time. And
lastly, I saw different designs in the classroom and it is really good for the eyes of
everyone which makes the classroom more colorful and cleaner.
2. Examine how the pieces of furniture are arranged. Where is the teacher’s table
located? How are the tables and chairs/desks arranged?
The furniture in the classroom is arranged properly. The teacher’s table is located at the
front of the classroom since the teacher can afford a good view of the students’ faces. The
tables and chairs are arranged properly together with its columns and rows. It enables
students to sit properly in the classroom while it also helps the classroom conducive to
learning.
There are visual aids and photo copies given by the teacher to the students as a guide for
them while having discussions. A teacher also has her handed books as a way for her to
generate and delivered the lessons properly.
There are sixty students in one classroom. Many of them are misbehaving while some are
listening while having the discussions that’s why some of the teachers get distracted

ANALYZE
How do the school campus and the classroom in particular impact the learning of the
students going to school? What are your conclusions?
School campus and the classroom in particular impact the learning of the students going to
school in a way that it plays a crucial role in students’ success. Students who study in a positive
learning environment enables learners to be more motivated, engaged, and have a higher
overall learning ability. Having a good school campus and a classroom increases students’
attention and focus and promotes meaningful learning experiences. Therefore, school campus
and the classroom must be observed first in order to come up with good outcomes that inspires
and encourages students to be the best version of themselves.
How does this relate to your knowledge of child and adolescent development/How does
this relate to your knowledge of facilitating learning?
This relate to my knowledge of child and adolescent development and to my facilitating learning
in a way that it enriches me to continue studying and understanding each and every child in the
classroom since school campus and classroom are their second homes where all of the
students are diverse that needs all positive characteristics of becoming a teacher.
REFLECT
1. Would you like to teach in the school environment you just observed? Why? Why not?
Yes, I’d like to teach in the school environment I just observed because this is one of my ideal
schools I want to have where both teachers and students are interacting well. I want to be in a
kind of environment conducive to learning and this is one. There are complete facilities that will
contribute to students’ learning and development. School heads and faculty are good. The
environment is healthy, neat, and is safe for students that helps them t be the best version of
themselves that would lead to their development in life.
The kind of classroom conducive to learning is a positive place where students can come to
work on a specific goal and come up with a good outcome. It is where a teacher is being a
positive, organized, confident, and compassionate.
As a future educator, I can accomplish this through working on my goals and objectives for the
success of my students. I know that through all of my positive characteristics and attitudes, I can
achieve good results.
It is indeed that school campus and the classroom plays a crucial role in having a conducive
learning environment. Students who study in a positive learning environment enables learners
to be more motivated, engaged, and have a higher overall learning ability. Having a good school
campus and a classroom increases students’ attention and focus and promotes meaningful

Observation REPORT
(You may post pictures of the Board Displays here.)
While roaming around the school campus, I saw many and different board displays in
the area. Each classroom has board displays posted outside each door and inside the
classroom. I saw sixty board displays in the school campus with different colors and
designs. The displays are usually found inside the classroom. They are placed inside
the classroom where students can see and catch it easily. The displays are all about
the topics that were discussed already and the topics that are to be discuss entitled
“ASEAN” and “BULLIES ARE BAD”. The “ASEAN” board display conveys message
about unity and love between these countries while the second board display conveys
about bullying. I see attractive colors where it would really catch the attention of
students. There are many images attached in the board display such as different
countries with its people. The conveyed information is arranged properly.
The materials used were pieces of printed photos, scented papers, bond papers, pens,
pentel pens, scissors and colored papers. Borders were used too. There were no
errors in the board displays and the messages are clear and easily understood. What
got my attention are the designs and information of the board displays because it
really has clear information.

Suggestions for
Improvement
The essential thing lacking in the bulletin board is its picture content. A teacher should include
if not four photos, at least one big picture about the effects of bullying that must be pasted on
it with correct balance. A photo must be bigger in size and bigger in numbers so that students
can easily catch their attention upon entering the classroom. And most importantly, so that
students can apply it in their daily living.
Did the board display reflect the like/interests of its target audience? Why? Why not?
Yes, board display reflects the like/interests of the target audience because
of its content and style where enable the target audience to get interested that will lead to their
understanding.
Was the language used clear and simple for the target audience to understand? Why?
Why not?
Yes, the language used were clear and simple because the target audience
easily understands the information.
The bulletin board, aside from being attractive because of its balance and designs,
should also have clear and concise information together with its photos that are bigger
so that it can easily catch target audience’s attention.
Objectives:
The objective of the board display is to strike a balance between photos and its
content.

1. Name at least five skills that a teacher should have to be able to come up with
effective board displays. Elaborate on why each skill is needed.
2. Which of the skills you named in #1 do you already have? Recall your past
experiences in making board displays. How do you practice these skills?
The skills I already have are having the good communication and
technology equipped individual. I already have the skill to communicate with my peers
and with my families which makes me confident to talk with my students in the future
and create an effective board display. And also, I am a literate student who knows how to
interact with the advance technology nowadays.
3. Which skill do you need to develop? What concrete steps will you take on how
you can improve on or acquire these skills?
The skill that I need to develop is the creativity because I am not that
kind of creative in terms of doing activities or performances and many others. I just tend
to use and do simple task as much as I could. I think I need to research more on how to
be creative and apply it in my everyday routine so that it would be part of my life every
day.

Write the most salient developmental characteristics of the learners you observed. Based on
these characteristics, think of implications for the teacher.
REFLECT
1. While you were observing the learners, did you recall all your own experiences
when you were their age?
Yes, while I was observing I remember the times when I was at their age. I
do recall also some of the memorable journeys I had when I was like them. Like when I was at
my preschool years, I remember my mother was always with me waiting outside the door of our
classroom at Boyoan School. I let her draw of what our teacher lets us to draw like of rabbits
and monkeys. When I was elementary, I am fun of competing with my classmates that’s why I
graduated as a Salutatorian in our batch. And in high school, I also do leadership roles like
being one of the Students Body Organization members.
2. Think of a teacher you cannot forget for positive or negative reasons. How did
she/he help or not help with your needs (physical, emotional, social, and
cognitive)? How did it affect you?
I had my favorite teacher when I was elementary. Her name is Mrs. Merry T.
Pizana. I really admire her for who she is and really loving her characteristics. She is really a
humble and forgiving teacher not just on me but to all my batches. She helps my whole life in a
way that she always tells us her real-life stories which really affect me to do everything I can and
to be the best that I can be for my future. Until now, I always see, respect her a lot, and greet
her humbly.

OBSERVE
In the Grade 9 class of Ms. Bernaldez, there are sixty students composes of 35 females and
25 males and all are Roman Catholic. During the class, not all students are interacting and
mostly are just listening to what the teacher discusses. Most groups who interact with the
teacher are those honor students only. Other students are merely sitting and listening to the
discussions of the teacher. But if the teacher calls other students beside from the honors,
they answered directly because they listened while the teacher had the discussions. Students
from the front of the class differs from those who sit at the back. Front students listen well
while those at the back easily gets distracted from the other classmates. Sometimes, they
behave and interact well the same with those students at the front and sometimes not.
Leaners in the classroom cooperate with each other. When the teacher group them to do the
task given, they actively participate and gave all their best every time. In other cases, there
are students who participate actively and those are honor students or those who have higher
grades in the class. And sometimes, those students who are inactive are the one who ask for
most of the questions since they don’t understand the instructions well. When the teacher
asks a student who cannot answer, other students will raise their hand and will be the one to
answer the questions unanswered by the first student. It serves as help for those who cannot
answer and are given points and stars as an honor for being a participative.
Moreover, from the outside of the class, students are in mixed social groupings. They are
together as a group because of the closeness they have from within and on what they like or
love about. They talk the same and different topics as long as they know and understand it
together as a group. They are all laughing while having their talks and having a close bond
together. Actually, I don’t notice students who are alone inside and outside the class because
all are having their groups and own talks.
Her strategy of the differences and needs of students is only through discussions and
performances though individual performance or in a group. This is her way of including
together all of her students and got the same bond so that there will be no discrimination in
her class all the time and every day. Because for her, it’s the teacher that brings color in the
classroom that would leads to students’ success.
ANALYZE
1. Identify the persons who play key role in the relationships and interactions in the
classroom. What roles do they play? Is there somebody who appears to be the
leader, a mascot/joker, an attention seeker, a little teacher, a doubter/pessimist?
The persons who play key role in the relationships and interactions in the classroom are
the teacher and the students. The teacher plays as a facilitator in the class considering her
students’ diverse needs and abilities as well. The classroom composes of different behaviors of
students that really affects the class in general. There are students who came out as a leader
and there are also jokers. There are also students who are attention seeker who always do
things that are sometimes not good just to get others’ attention in the class. There are also less
confident students who are shy on presenting performances and needs to be pushed by the
teacher just to show their abilities in the class.
What makes the learners assume these roles? What factors affect their behavior?
The learners assume these different roles they have in the classroom because of the
environment they have at home. It is about who they were in their homes and who surrounded
them bringing everything in the classroom together with their other classmates. It’s their
emotional and psychological factors that affects the kind of behavior they act in the classroom.
2. Is there anyone you observed who appear left out? Are students who appear
“different”? Why do they appear different? Are they accepted or rejected by the
others? How is this shown?
I don’t see anyone who appear in the class left out. And as what I have seen in the
class, students are having good communications with each other. They are group differently but
they are showing love and respect towards one another.
3. How does the teacher influence the class interaction considering the individual
differences of the students?
The teacher influences the class interaction considering the individual differences of the
students through giving them group performances like of group dances like they have done in
the morning session and group reporting activity in the classroom. Through these, students can
interact with other students and that they cannot feel that they are different and alone in the
class.
4. What strategies does the teacher use to maximize the benefits of diversity in the
classroom? How does the teacher leverage diversity?
The teacher uses discussion and group performance strategies. Through groupings,
they can communicate well with one another and knows each other wisely. In this sense,
diversity cannot be seen throughout the day and students can perform well in the class without
being hatred or affected of serious emotional and psychological problems.
REFLECT
1. How did you feel being on that classroom? Did you feel a sense of oneness or
unity among the learners and between the teacher and learners?
I had mixed emotions while staying and observing in the classroom. At that time, I feel
so overwhelmed or I have the strong feeling of nervousness since I am going to observe a
teacher together with all the learners in the classroom yet I am enjoying everything I
experienced from within. I felt the oneness and unity of all learners in the classroom. The way
they communicate and approach with one another, I can really feel their closeness though they
came from diverse families. And also, the way they listen to one another and ask questions from
each and every one, it feels like they are brothers and sisters from blood. I really feel their
belongingness in the class. Though they came from different groups, still they are establishing
the same feelings and reasons in the classroom. The only difference is that sometimes, they
have differences that needs to be understand by the other and its very natural for people since
all are different. Moreover, the teachers and learners are having good bonds with one another.
The teacher serves as a facilitator and mediator in the class while the students always listen to
what their teacher discusses and they always love of what the teacher wants them to do
especially if it’s about group performances. As what I’ve seen in the classroom, learners love to
do group activities. While having their performances, I can see them smiling ang laughing with
one another, they are supporting every group by clapping their hands before and after every
performance. And when it’s the time for giving grades, all were very happy and if someone got
the lowest, they just didn’t mind it as long as they are doing their best all the time. In these
senses, it is proved that teacher and learners share oneness and unity with one another.

What do you think can still be done to promote and uphold the indigenous people’s
knowledge systems and practices and rights in schools?
I think it’s all about different program, activities, and classroom-based sessions that can
create oneness among indigenous learners in the school. And also, through the guidance and
love of a teacher, it creates more colorful world for them. They can be the best version of
themselves which they can create their own memorable and colorful world they have. And with
these, they can be who they want in the nearer future since this would serve as a path for them

I learned that indigenous learners are really different form each other students but
instead of treating them differently, it is our duty as a teacher and as a student to give all the
love, attention, and respect to them as they are still human in this existing world. They really are
not different; they just have their own cultures and beliefs in life since they were born and it’s not
a hindrance for them to succeed in life.
2. What did you most appreciate from your experience in visiting the school with
indigenous learners? Why?
What I appreciated the most while visiting in the school are the indigenous learners who
respects me all the time. They are looking at me with smile on their faces and I did the same
thing too. It melts my heart while I am on that scenario. They treated me as their teacher and
they don’t interact with me badly. They do interact with me same as how they interact with their

Physical Development
The learner is thin but normal in weight. She is slow in terms of her physical
activity but literally active in terms of her performances and achievements in school. During
her pregnancy, her mother was already thin and she just gain weight because of her womb
and it’s in their genes that brough her in that kind of pregnancy. As the learner was born, her
mother was the one who took care of her up until now and was breastfeed from zero months
up to two years old. There were no physical ailments or problem while she was a child.
Actually, the learner started to walk when she was just at her nine months young and started
to talk straightly at 2 years old. She really loves to eat fruits and vegetables. As of her
teacher’s response, the learner is very intelligent. Moreover, she is an honor student from
grades 1 to 6. But in her case, she is a loner type of learner. She didn’t even play with her
peers and just merely talk to her teacher if being asked. She is a disciplined pupil and already
an independent learner. She’s responsible of her own choice and is being true to herself like
of doing greatly her own work and performances and is not fun of copying others’ works. And
also, she is a type of silent learner. She studies silently and alone. The teacher
communicates with the parents if she sees something different from the students and
conducts meeting if she wants to. In her case, the teacher has no problem of her at all.
Actually, this learner is our nearest neighbor and I can witness her growth as a child up to her
age today. There is really no problem on this child at all.
Social Development
The learner is a loner and a shy type pupil. As what her mother says, she is just
always at their home studying and answering assignments and if not, she is task to buy
something important in the store. She is fun of playing with her one and only sister and to
their dog when there is a vacant time. As a child, she is not allowed to go out anywhere and
mingle with friends far from their home. It is only her family who are very close to the learner.
As what her teacher says, she is a kind of student who does activities individually and a type
of pupil who interacts to others if it’s an important thing. As of my own observation since we
are neighbors, she really is a family dependent learner. She didn’t even say “hi” to me if we
met across our homes or if we met in the store or in an unexpected place. But then there are
no conflicts arose between us since I understand that she is still a child that needs
understanding though.
Emotional-Moral Development
The learner is a happy pupil. As what her mother wants for her, it’s only for her
child to achieve her dreams and wants in life. Giving her guidance, support, and love is what
her mother provides for her to have a nurturing environment she can live in. Moreover, the
leaner is very attached with her mother. Whenever her mother feels down or has a problem,
she always o to her and comforted her and as a return, the mother does of what her child
does to her. The mother always observes and talk to the learner all the time that serves as a
bond for them both. If the learner is not successful of something, the mother always teaches
her just to make her achieve and to be happy again. In terms of discipline, it is always respect
as what her mother told me. Her mother has no many rules in the house as long as the child
is in good terms and both are happy, it is already a fulfillment for her. Giving consequences is
not her mothers’ job to do so. As what her teacher observes, the learner is always happy
though she is a loner pupil. She does things with her smiling faces though failed in some
areas. And based on my observation, she is a learner who shows happiness all the time.
Cognitive Development
The learner has a high cognitive ability. As what her mother says, the learner
loves studying and going to school every day. I was told that the learner loves guessing
games and all the subject areas. Her mother always monitors her performance in school
through going to school and have a talk with the teacher. The mother motivates the learner
through giving her advices and giving her money to buy foods at school every day. One of her
mother’s rules in terms of studying is to finish first all the activities before going to sleep and
before playing and the child does all these things too. As of the teacher’s observation, she
told me that the learner is an intelligent pupil. She says that the learner appears to
understand the lessons presented well. She even helps her classmates if they want the
learner’s help. She copes well with the lessons, show reasoning skills, turns in assignments
and requirements, and excel in every area that’s she is in top all the time. Based on my
observation, I can say that this child is an excellent learner.
Findings
The learner is a family-oriented child that is why in terms of studying she is shy
and loner since her family isn’t in the classroom. But being like her don’t just end like that
because she is as perfect as I wish to be when I was a child. She is an intelligent learner who
does great performances in school. I can really say that she is a good example for other
students.
Conclusions
Therefore, school and homes create impact on learner’s development. It all
starts with these two concepts on fulfilling a child’s overall development.
Recommendations
The only thing I would like to tell the learner is that she must also practice on
socializing other people especially with her teacher and her peers since it is really important
to have close relationship with each other.
ANALYZE
1. From your home visit and interview, what do you think is the style of parenting
experienced by the learner? Explain your answer.
The style of parenting I observed that is experience by the learner is the authoritative
model of parenting. It is where parents achieve a good blend of being firm but loving. As what
I’ve seen in learner’s parents, they treat their children with respect and warmth. They have clear
and reasonable expectation and do limitations with their children. They serve as a guide, model,
and point of emotional connection with their children. Their parents have a strong sense of self
where they support and encourage their child to develop their own self. They are the kind of
parent who offers support and understanding especially when their child makes mistakes and
they don’t do any consequences on their child since they are not doing any of that all the time.
And lastly, they set good boundaries and being empathetic.
2. Relating your data from what you learned from the child development, what family
factors do you think contribute to the development and over-all adjustment of the
learners in school?
It’s the family’s inner character and attitude that contribute and affects development and
over-all adjustment of the learners in school.
3. Does the communication between the home-school have an effect on the learner?
What are these effects?
Yes, home-school communication have an effect on the learner since this would serve
as a bridge for the teacher to communicate on learner’s parents on time especially if there is a
problem with the learner in the class. These effects include learner’s performance in school
specifically their grades.
4. How can the teacher partner with the community to contribute to the development
and learning of the students? Who are the people or which institutions can the
teacher tap to seek advice regarding the development and learning of students?
The teacher can create initiatives such as conducting activities outside the class to
develop her students’ ability and communication with other people. These activities must be
planned well for a better result. In the case of the development and learning if the students, it is
the parents and school head which the teacher can approach and seek advice for her to build
initiatives or performances that can creatively give life to her students.
REFLECT
1. Reflect on your own development as a child, what type of parenting did you
experience? How did it affect you?
When I was a child, I experienced the permissive form of parenting. My parents are not
controlling me. They based it on my own decision-making and they just go with its flow. I know
that my parents cared for me all the time and they just have to go to work for our financial terms.
I remember that I can go anywhere I want when I was a child and at my teens unlike my other
friends and classmates. I had really my freedom at my young age. This really affect me a lot
since I don’t limit myself already and it brings me to somewhat called a disaster in my life.

1. Are there areas in the classroom for specific purposes? (Storage of teaching
aids, books, students’ belongings, supplies, etc.) Describe these areas. Will it
make a difference if these areas for specific purposes are not present?
In the classroom, I’ve seen storage of teaching aids in the teacher’s table and it
includes visual aids, chalks, class records, ballpen, ruler, and most especially the laptop of
the teacher. I don’t see any books except the teacher’s handed books since the said school
has no books and only the teacher has. Yes, it will make a difference if the mentioned areas
are not present especially if we talk about proper classroom management. Having an area in
the classroom for specific purposes helps both teachers and students gaining a clean and
attractive classroom that would benefit them all.
2. Are there rules and procedures posted in the room? List them down. Do these
rules reinforce positive behavior?
Yes, classroom rules and procedures are posted in the wall of the classroom.
These rules are:
3. Did the students participate in making the classroom rules? It the resource
teacher is available, ask him/her to describe the process. What’s the effect of
students’ participation on rule-making on students’ behavior?
The process of making classroom rules were done by the Resource Teacher and
this is her own rules for the students to be guided and to become responsible of everything.
Through students’ participation on rule making, they can easily understand of what is good
from bad and can easily apply everything written on the rules.
4. What are the daily routines done by the Resource Teacher? (Prayer, attendance,
warm-up activities, etc.) how are they done?
The daily routines done by the Resource Teacher are prayer, attendance, warm-
up activities, and cleaning inside and outside the classroom. The Resource Teacher does
prayer before and after the class every day and does the checking of attendance after the
prayer to know if who among the students are absent and to know its reasons. The Resource
Teacher also do warm-up activities before they proceed to their lesson that serves as a
motivation for students to gain active engagement while having the class. And lastly, the
Resource Teacher always do the classroom cleaning inside and outside because she wants a
neat and clean classroom conducive for learning.
Yes, there is a seating arrangement and this is based on the observation of the
Resource Teacher based on the students’ performances like if the students are noisy, he or
she will be placed near with shy type and loner students and so on. Doing a seating
arrangement helps in managing the class because it helps teachers to familiarize more the
students’ name and behavior presented.
The noise in the classroom is managed by the Resource Teacher. She will stop the
discussion, talk to the students who are noisy, and will begin the discussion again.
7. If a learner is not following instruction or is off-task, what does the Resource
Teacher do?
The Resource Teacher simply give a talk to the students who are not following
instructions. She explains well for the students to understand and do the task given again.
The teacher facilitates well and monitors the class every time. If she caught
someone who is experiencing difficulties especially in understanding the lesson, she helps
the child to cope up with it. If she notices some conflict arose between students, she talks and
let them understand everything well. And through all of these, positive behaviors were
reinforced.
ANALYZE
1. How did the classroom organization and routines affect learners’ behavior?
Classroom organization and routines affect learners’ behavior in a way that it can make
them more responsible and disciplined on doing tasks every day. It enables them to foster hard
works to help them stay focused and calm in their daily tasks. It facilitates learning and teaching
as it makes easier for students to achieve and learn more.
2. What should the teacher have in mind when she/he designs the classroom
organization and routines? What theories and principle should you have in mind?
The teacher should bear in mind that daily organization and routines affects the
development of learners in the class who possesses different actions, characteristics, behavior,
and cognitive skills. Furthermore, the teacher should design routines that fit to the students. The
principles of Jean Piaget theory is very applicable on this because it is in this theory where
learners move through different stages of mental development. His theory focuses not only on
understanding how children acquire knowledge, but also understanding learners’ nature of
intelligence.
Structure routines is one of the behavior strategies that is used to manage the behavior
of the learners. In this case, there are several approaches teachers can use to create and
maintain routines in their classroom. This method can help especially to those learners who
struggle with frustration, anxiety, stress, exhibit oppositional behavior and students who have
difficulty in completing assignments or engage with lessons.
In motivating students, positive reinforcement is good for it. This may seem simple and
straightforward but through this it can motivate learners to do more and apply hard work in every
area of activities they do. These are effective because it facilitates and helps in the teaching-
learning process.

1. Imagine yourself organizing your classroom in the future. In what grade level do
you see yourself? What routines and procedures would you consider for this
level? Why?
I see myself teaching in grade 10. Similar to others, I will do the same routines which are
very applicable to my students. The routines that I will consider for this level are the following.
First, I will start my class with an opening prayer, praying that my students will participate and
cooperate in my class. Secondly, I will check their attendance for me to know who are present,
absent and late. Thirdly, I will greet them and know how well they are doing and then later on I
will asks my students about the previous meeting discussion by letting them give a brief
explanation from the previous topic. And lastly, I will proceed to the new topic to be discussed. If
my students have no more questions about the topic, subsequently I will give them a short quiz
for me to determine who among of the class understand the lessons clearly.
2. Make a list of rules you are likely to implement in this level. Why would you
choose these rules?
Well, I desired to choose these rules because I want to have a harmonious classroom
establishing with unity, peace, and an order between me and my future students someday.
Absolutely yes, the students should be involved in making class rules and regulations for
the reason that they should be aware of such things. Also, in order for the students to be well-
oriented and have an idea already whatever consequences might be given if ever they will
violate the said rules and implementations inside the classroom. Lastly, so that the teacher will
have no further explanations since it is already agreed between the teacher and the students.

1. Were the routines effective in ensuring discipline and order in the class? Why?
Why not?
Yes, all the routines were effective in ensuring the discipline and order in the class
because these are effectively followed by the students and sustain the order inside the
classroom. Without these daily routines, it will be difficult for the teacher to ensure the discipline
and order in the class since routine is a way of managing the classroom to avoid some of the
distractions that keeps those students from functioning effectively and would affect the students’
behavior and learning.
The routine that was systematic and consistently implemented are passing of papers,
working with groups, submission of projects, asking questions during lessons, joining classroom
activities, lining up, and checking of attendance because these routines are implemented in
order to sustain the teaching-learning process in the classroom. These are the common rules
that will ensure students’ discipline that would contribute to a successful learning and orderly

All systematic and consistent routines are what I most likely to apply in my class. These
are passing of papers, working with groups, submission of projects, asking questions during
lessons, joining classroom activities, lining up, and checking of attendance, and keeping the
classroom clean. I choose these rules because they are observable and achievable that would

1. Analyze each given rule. What circumstances led to the formulation of the rule?
In formulating classroom rules, the students should understand the rules and its
consequences because when they do so, it will reduce misunderstandings, assumptions, and
miscommunication in the class.
REFLECT
Reflect on the various classroom rules set by the Resource Teacher. Will you have
the same rules? If not, what rules are you going to employ? Explain your answer.
Yes, I will have the same rules to be employed as a future teacher someday. It is
because I know that these rules are very effective on having a conducive learning environment
for my students. It would also make them have safety and security in the class. Moreover, all
these classroom rules would eliminate stress and will provide a more pleasant, secured, and
non-threatening environment for students’ engagement and focus in different activities.
ANALYZE
We need to check on the physical aspects of classroom management since it plays role
on influencing both teachers and students in the classroom. Teachers should design and make
us of their capabilities on checking its physical aspects like organizing its spaces, furnishings,

personal grooming and punctuality. Second, I will manage the learning environment for my
students through good ventilation, lighting, acoustics, do a seating arrangement, design my

There were thirteen strategies employed by the Resource Teacher in the class. These
contribute to better classroom management because students learned and the teacher
enhanced her ability while teaching or having the discussions. In the class, students were able
to actively participate, shares their knowledge, and do performance task assigned by the
Resource Teacher while the Resource Teacher enables to teach properly without any
disturbances in the classroom. Learning and development were brought after in the classroom.
2. What were not used by the Resource Teacher? Were these important? What should
have been used instead? Explain.
The strategies that were not used by the Resource Teacher are the following:
Yes, these two are also important because it enables students to give also their best and
shares their skills especially in terms of peer teaching. Peer teaching should have been used by
the Resource Teacher also because it challenges students to do tasks with creativity and hard

the teacher to her students.
Which of the 7 types of curriculums in the school setting is easy to find? Why?
The type of curriculum that is easy to find is the Taught Curriculum or the Teaching
Learning Process. It is easy to find because it happens inside the classroom and this is an act
done by the teacher every day or in every hour or minute and that is through discussions or
lectures. Teachers deliver his or her lessons day by day where they put life to the written
curriculum.
Are these all found in the school setting? How do curricula relate to one another?
Yes, the seven types of curriculums are found in the school setting. The relationship
between curricula to one another is highly connected and they both serve to enhance each
other. For instance, curriculum is the foundation of education and the curriculum is what makes
the education quality stand out from a basic level to increasingly complex topics or skills.
REFLECT
The relationship between the different types of curriculums is highly connected and they
both serve to enhance each other. Curriculum is one of many tools used to give an education or
a method do the teaching. First, the Recommended Curriculum. One of its examples are the
curriculum being implemented by the Department of Education (DepEd) or the Commission on
Higher Education (CHEd) in the Philippines. In some cases, a law-making body like the
congress and the senate, or a university or a school can recommend a subject, a course, or any
academic program necessary for national identity and security, for environmental protection and
sustainable development. Second is the Written Curriculum that refers to a lesson plan or
syllabus written by teachers that must be implemented. Third is the Taught Curriculum, an
implementation of the written curriculum. Whatever is being taught or an activity being done in
the classroom is a taught curriculum. So, when teachers give a lecture, initiate group work, or
ask students to do different performances with their guidance then the taught curriculum is
demonstrated. This curriculum contains different teaching and learning styles to address the
students’ needs and interests. Fourth is the Supported Curriculum where it serves as the
materials, objects, gadgets, laboratory or many more that will help teacher implement the
curriculum. Another is the Assessed Curriculum used to find out if the teacher has succeeded
in implementing the lesson plan. When students take a quiz or the mid-term and final exams,
these evaluations are the so-called assessed curriculum. Teachers may use the pencil and
paper tests and authentic assessments like portfolio and performance-based assessments to
know if the students are progressing or not. Sixth is the Learned Curriculum that indicates
what the students have learned. The capability that students should demonstrate at the end of
the lesson can be measured through learning outcomes. A learning outcome can be manifested
by what students can perform or do either in their cognitive, affective, or psychomotor domains.
The test results can determine the learning outcome, and the students can achieve it through
learning objectives. Last is the Hidden Curriculum that refers to the unplanned or unintended
curriculum but plays a vital role in learning. It consists of norms, values, and procedures.

1. How does the teacher whom you observed compare to the ideal characteristics or
competencies of global quality teachers?
The teacher I observed has the competencies of a global quality teacher. She facilitates
and inspire student learning and creativity so that all students achieve in the global society. She
engages students about the world and making them explore it. She teaches understanding on
one’s own cultural identity and its influence on classroom practices. She also works with their
students to co-create new learning opportunities and she uses data to support student learning
and program improvements. And lastly, she is one of my ideal teachers.
Yes. The lessons are planned before it is used in her class. It also shows the interaction
and relationships of the major curriculum components in the lesson. Aside from the lesson
plans, an activity checklist or lesson outline is used. A list of the activities that she will be taking
place during the lesson are prepared by her.
3. Can you describe the disposition of the teacher after the lesson was taught? Happy
and eager? Satisfied and contented? Disappointed and exhausted?
It shows that the teacher is happy and satisfied. It is because she knew herself that she
delivered the lesson according to planned. The students also actively participate in the class.
She demonstrated the professional attitudes and conduct that facilitate student learning and
convey a positive image of the education profession.
4. Can you describe the majority of students’ reactions after the lesson was taught?
Confused? Happy and eager? Contented? No reactions at all.
It shows that the students are very happy and eager since they are all have their smiling
faces after all. They are eager in a way that they still talked about the lessons after the class
were dismissed.
REFLECT
Based on your observations and tasks in Activity 2, how will you prepare your lesson
plan? Make a short paragraph on the topic.
I will prepare my lesson plan through incorporating the interests of my students into my
lessons. I would select purposeful activities and assignments, and making my lessons relevant
to students’ everyday life. And also, I will never forget to follow the steps on making it. First, I will
identify my learning objectives, create a realistic timeline, and plan for a lesson closure. Through
these, I can be able to do discussions or lectures that are meaningful and purposeful not just for
my students learning in the classroom but in their daily life ahead.
My lesson plan is about the four types of sentences. There are four types of sentences
according to use and these are declarative, interrogative, imperative, and exclamatory.
Declarative sentences are those that states a fact or opinion and ends with period. Another is
interrogative sentences that asks a question and ends with question mark. Third is the
Imperative sentences that expresses a request or command and it either ends with a period or
an exclamation point. Last is the exclamatory sentences that expresses sudden and strong
feelings.

Yes, the three components of Learning Outcomes, Teaching Method, and Assessments
are constructively aligned because these are important in setting up a lesson plan. From setting
the learning outcomes, down to what methods to be accurately use to achieve the learning
outcomes and to what type of assessment is to be conducted to test the level of learning the
student has.
2. Will the outcomes be achieved with the teaching methods used? Why?
Yes, the outcomes were achieved with the teaching methods the teacher used such as
discussions or lectures because this would enable students in the classroom to listen and
participate actively in the class. Through discussions, teachers can deliver and illustrate the
lessons properly and with that brings the students to share their skills and knowledge while
having the discussions of the teacher.
REFLECT
The lessons I have learned in developing or writing a lesson plan is that I really need to
align the three components so that I could achieve what I want to achieved as an educator to
my students. I need to plan a head the knowledge, skills, and values I want to achieve by my
students and choose the right method to achieve the desired outcome. It is really a must for me
to provide an evaluation and assessment that is anchored with my learning outcomes to test
where my learners are at the time of learning.
What value will it give to the teacher if the three components are aligned?
The value of success will be gained by teacher if the three components are aligned
together. Success in delivering the lessons efficiently, and learning to the students effectively.
