CONFIRMATION LETTER IELTS PAPER BASED

Thank you for booking your test with International House Trust Assessment.

Below you will find important information and instructions for your test day.
Please read it carefully and have a good test day experience.

Arrival time:
Registration opens at 8:45. Doors close at 9:45.
If you arrive late to your IELTS test, you will not be allowed to participate and you
will lose your test fee. Transfer will not be accepted.

Bring with you:


ID document.
Pencil, eraser and sharpener.
Water in transparent bottle.
Face Covering (Covid-19 prevention) *Due to the current Covid-19
pandemic, you must wear a face covering during the entire duration of the exam
(including your speaking test).

Your identity documents:

IELTS staff will check your identity upon your arrival, you must bring the same
document used when you registered for the test. If you arrive without the correct
ID you will not be able to take the test. Copies are not accepted.

Your finger scan will be collected. This will allow you to attend your speaking test
after the written part.

Your belongings:

Turn off your mobile and any other electronic devices. These will be kept outside of
the test room along with other personal belongings.

Watches are not allowed in the test room.

You cannot bring food or drink into the test room – with the exception of water in a
transparent bottle. Make sure that you have something substantial to eat before
your test.
THE TEST STARTS:
Your Listening/Reading/Writing test will start at 10:00.
It will finish at 13:00 approximately.

During your test:


*Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, you must wear a face covering during the
entire duration of the exam.
Follow these rules when sitting your IELTS test:
You are only allowed to have a pencil, your ID, sharpener and an eraser on your
desk.
If you need to use the toilet during the test, put your hand up to attract the
invigilator’s attention and don’t disturb other test takers.
Raise your hand to attract the invigilator’s attention if you want to ask a question
during the test.
After the Listening section, you will have 10 minutes to fill in the answer sheet.
However, you will not have 10 minutes after the Reading section, so be sure to
write your answers on your answer sheet when completing each section.
After the Writing test, remain in your seat until you have the invigilator‘s
permission to leave the test room.

Your Speaking test:


You will need to register 20 minutes before your Speaking time. If you arrive late,
you might not be allowed to participate.
We will check your ID again and we will take the picture that will appear in your
Test Report Form. Pictures can also be taken in the morning registration. (If we
don’t take your picture, you will not receive your results).
Our staff will take you to the Speaking room and your Speaking test will be a
face-to-face conversation with an examiner. The test will last 20 minutes
approximately.
After your test, collect your belongings and enjoy the rest of your day.

At the end of the test:


If you believe that your performance may have been affected by any issues,
inform the invigilator straight away.
If you want to make a complaint about your test day, you must do this within
one week of the test date by filling in the Complaint Form. Complaints received
after your results have been released will not be accepted.

Your results will be released online in:


13 calendar days (for Paper based IELTS)
You will receive a notification email once they are available, and your Test Report Form will be
posted to your address by First class mail/ International Standard on the same day. (Service not
tracked).
