MULTI ZONE SYSTEM ZM 2000

ZM 2000 is a versatile multi-zone sound system suitable for paging and background music distribution in several applications.
According to the project requirements, the ZM 2000 can be dimensioned with one master unit and one or more zone
expansion units, to serve from up-to-six to over than 50 zones with paging and music programs.
All system units ZM 2124, ZM 2100 and ZE 2200 are based on dual program/buses architecture, where one bus is dedicated
mainly to paging purposes with the possibility to send announcements selectively or in general to any zone, while the other bus is
for music distribution or other non priority sources.
The system master unit is available in two versions: ZM 2124 has a 240W built-in power amplifier while ZM 2100 includes just
pre-amplification and commutation devices.
Master units ZM 2124 and ZM 2100 are the heart of the ZM 2000 system, they are able to accept the sources connection, to
manage priority among inputs and outputs and routing the two buses among the several zones of the system.
They feature 2 microphone inputs and two universal inputs with configurable priority among them, plus 3 selectable auxiliary
inputs on music bus, and a dedicated paging input for up to 6 system call stations, an auxiliary input and an overall emergency
audio input on priority bus.
All the main inputs have level and tone controls accessible on front panel.
A selectable chime tone is available to precede the paging procedure.
All the system units can be configured to work with one or two audio channels so not to interrupt music the program in the zones
not involved by paging. This feature can be easily implemented in the dual or in the multiple amplifier approach the system can
support.
Selective and all-call paging microphones and a wall mounting remote control are available to complete the system and cover any
application requirement. All connections between the system devices are easily done with CAT5 FTP cable.
The system paging microphone BM 2806 is complete with gooseneck microphone and 6 zone keys, together with All-Call and PTT
buttons. Each paging extension unit BE 2812 adds 12 zone keys, necessary to page selectively the zones related to the ZE 2200
system expansion devices. Up to four BE 2812 are required to reach the maximum system capability of 54 zones. Up to six BM

The BM 3022 universal pre-amplified paging microphone is ideal as all-call only device; it can be linked to the primary (Emergency
Input) or to the secondary buses (Paging Input). Several BM 3022 can be cascaded in a long-distance connection bus using CAT 5
FTP cable.
The control RC 2946 is a wall-mounting device suitable to remote the source selection and the zone assignment relevant to a ZM

MULTI-ZONE SYSTEMS
2100 or a ZM 2124.
ZM 2124 is mainly addressed to small size systems or where the power required per zone is limited. It also includes a control for
each of the six zones powered by the built-in 240W amplifier to adjust the output level of each speaker line; ZM 2100 allows you
to decide if working in a 100V power-sharing configuration by using one or two amplifiers (to never interrupt music in zones not
paged) to drive all the 6 zones together, or by providing per each zone one (or more) power amplifiers capable to feed the speakers
connected to it directly.
All ZM 2124, ZM 2100 and ZE 2200 offer a button per zone to switch on-off the program broadcasted on the system music-bus.
The expansion unit ZE 2200 is compatible with both the system mater units and it allows you to use the system for mid and big
size projects where several zones have to be managed. Each ZE 2200 offers the possibility to share the music source with the main
unit or to inject a local music program. For the maximum flexibility, each ZE 2200 can work on 100V commutation basis or on 0dB
basis, in order to fit any configuration needs. Connections of ZE 2200 to the main unit have to be made by using CAT 5 FTP cable.
Furthermore, each system unit, no matter if master or expansion, has logic inputs and outputs (GPI/O) in order to interface bi-
directionally the ZM 2000 system with third parties devices.
Through the LCD display is possible to set GPI/O activities and master audio control level.
Power supply for system units can be from mains and/or through 24VDC power source.
All system devices are provided with rack mounting accessories: 3U for ZM 2124 and ZM 2100 or 1U for ZE 2200.
