Business Ethics :-

Rules and Regulation - they created a new risk and monitoring forum to oversee the management of
Group-level business integrity risks and ensure the effectiveness of their major internal compliance
measures.

they also enlisted the help of outside consultants and completed maturity evaluations for their data
privacy and business integrity compliance programmes. Overall, we scored well, but there is always
room for improvement; they are taking steps to improve as needed.

their strengthened controls in areas like terrorist financing and anti-money laundering by expanding
our business integrity standard and process and lowering the criteria for giving and receiving
benefits, sponsorships, and donations. they also improved controls to address third-party business
integrity risks by enhancing our due diligence and monitoring processes, introducing more controls
for high-risk third-party engagements and payments, and offering third-party training where
necessary.

Communities - they've been working hard to make significant changes in the way they manage and
protect Indigenous cultural heritage in our operations.

Their Communities and Social Performance Commitments Disclosure Interim Report was released in
September 2021. The report outlines accomplishments such as partnering with Pilbara Traditional
Owners to modernise and improve agreements; implementing a new Communities and Social
Performance model across the company; improving community governance, planning, and systems;
and increasing Indigenous leadership and cultural competency within Rio Tinto.

Climate Change – they acknowledge that they have a considerable carbon footprint, with significant
scope 1 and 2 emissions as well as significant indirect scope 3 emissions. And they recognise that
they must act quickly to be a part of the solution. they stated in October 2021 that they will
accelerate our 15 percent reduction in scope 1 and 2 emissions to 2025, five years earlier than
planned. In addition, they are more than tripling our 2030 target, aiming for a 50% reduction in
scope 1 and 2 emissions. To meet these goals and attain their goal of net zero emissions by 2050,
they will Switching to renewable energy, electrifying processing, and operating electric mobile fleets
can help them accelerate decarbonization.
Environment – they frequently labour in isolated regions and sensitive environments to
manufacture the materials that the world requires. they consider theirselves to be long-term
custodians of natural resources such as land and water, as well as the ecosystems that they support.
Wherever they work, they collaborate with Indigenous and local communities to improve their
natural resource management methods and reduce their environmental effect.

From the beginning of an operation's life until its conclusion, they are committed to recognising and
managing the risks and affects our activities may have on the environment. Every year, for example,
in the Diavik Diamond Mine in the Northwest Territories of Canada To sample the water and
examine the fish, they bring together biologists and people of the local Indigenous communities. In
Australia, at our Weipa operations in Far North Queensland, we're collaborating with Traditional
Owners and Local Aboriginal People to rehabilitate land by using old seeds to ensure the correct
plants are planted in the right places. These plants will be employed for medicinal purposes, as well
as food and ceremonial purposes.

Internal standards and procedures are followed at their managed operations that comply with – and
in some cases exceed – international and local legislation and licences, as well as the norms of
relevant industry groups such as the International Council on Mining and Metals {ICMM).

Policies And Standards - they are following many policies like Air Quality Protection Standard ,
Aviation Safety Standard , Biodiversity protection And Natural Resources And Mangment , Buisness
Integrity Standard , chemical And Hazardous Substance Exposure Control Standard , Clouser and
Community- Social Responsibility Standard etc .

Covid19 evolves - When COVID-19 became a global pandemic, they rapidly assessed the risks to
their firm, communities, contractors, and employees, and put in place controls to keep people safe
and healthy while allowing our operations to continue smoothly.

Every mine, operation, and office implemented a series of screening procedures, including health
surveys and temperature checks. In addition, we were able to deploy virus screening in the majority
of locations. Local governments have been intimately involved in this project.

They support government vaccination campaigns, including the establishment of immunisation

clinics in particular areas:

They support government vaccination efforts in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region, as well as at our
Diavik facility in the Northwest Territories and our Kitimat site in British Columbia.

In the United States, they are assisting government efforts to implement vaccinations in Kern
County, which is close to our Boron facility in California. Vaccination plans are moving well at our
Kennecott facilities in Utah and Resolution Copper project in Arizona, in line with the government
rollout.

their iron ore and salt assets in Western Australia's Pilbara include a frontline port. and health care
employees are now entitled to obtain the vaccine if they chose to do so. The immunization will be
administered to the rest of the employees in accordance with the Western Australian government's
rollout.
