Evidence: My motivators

Studies of successful individuals have found that there are a few motivators that
guide their career and job choices, and make working an enjoyable and successful
experience for them. Below you will find a list with the motivators that are most
commonly mentioned by high-achieving people. For this evidence you have to
organize them in order of importance from 1 (the most important) to 10 (the least
important) and write a composition expressing how they have been part of your
professional development. Recycle the grammar and vocabulary you have learned
in this learning activity. (Example: I feel variety is the most important factor in my
motivation. I don’t like doing repetitive things. In my current job I have learned how
to use Photoshop and how to market different products online. I am becoming very
good at it and now I am able to teach others.)

The interest has been important because I feel that if I have interest in a
project or work I can develop it very well. Now, if I have no interest in
something it just won't be the same.

Independence is something primordial in my work and life, since having

independence means having more control in the decisions, and directing life
along the path that we think is right, without necessarily depending on
something or someone.

Variety has been a way to maintain motivation, because it avoids monotony

and has led me to try different things and learn more.

The challenges that were presented to me in the past I saw them as

something to overcome, so the challenges are part of the motivation,
because they have put my skills and knowledge to the test to handle and
overcome them.

With security, we are able to express our point of view without fear, as well
as our ideas.

Money can be of intermediate importance, because it allows us to obtain

what we need day by day. Like shopping, unforeseen expenses, fixed
expenses, or to start new projects.

Having a good lifestyle makes us feel good, comfortable and we can

compare it with our lifestyle some years ago, so we can see if we have
improved or not.

Competition will not make you feel satisfied with the basics, instead, it will
make you want to push yourself and gain more knowledge about the topic
or project.

In the relationship, making friends, having a nice space with our co-workers
is equally important. We listen and learn about them.

The recognition that your work receives should also be important, that
others evaluate your work and give you feedback with your self-evaluation
is motivating as well.
