CREATING THE RESEARCH INTEREST ACTIVITY 1

I - After a productive lecture-exercise, you are now ready to write your research interests
with the following contents:

1. Research Direction – This describes the research area which contains the focus of the
study, what the researchers want to do and the locale of the study. This may appear as the
first to be read, but, may be written last (just like in the workshop).

My research is entitled “ Enhancing Concept learn in Genetic mutation: Sex-linked


traits- trough interventions”. I want to use intervention in teaching sex- linked traits under the
topic genetic mutation, Because I want to enhance the learn concept of the students about
the topic so that they could have a deeper understanding about it and use those
understanding in future use. This research will be conducted online and the respondents are
grade 9 students from Bantay National High School. To know if there is enhancement in the
understanding of the concept through the use of interventions, first I will be giving Pre-test
then I will teach them virtually with the aid of interventions (video presentation and
infographic) and then I will conduct Post-test to know if their learning about the above
mention topic is enhance. I will use t-test as my statistical treatment.

2. Main Objective – This is a sentence to describe the general objective of the study.

This study aims to enhance the concept learn in Genetic mutation: Sex-linked traits-
trough interventions”.

3. Specific Objectives – Consider at most three specific objectives for the study. • What –
identifications and descriptions, current status, issues and challenges • How and Why –
descriptions of course of actions as recommendations

 Enhance the understanding of the concept learn in genetic mutation in - sex-linked


traits
 Identify the importance of the deeper understanding on how genetic mutation occur
 Analyze the process in genetic mutation

4. Factors/ Variables – Identify at most five factors and variables surrounding the research
direction. References may be listed as back-up or justifications (Links may do at this time.
The detailed file may be saved for the Literature Review particularly when writing Chapter 1
of the manuscript).

5. Key Words – List down at most five key concepts used in the chosen research topic.
Define them briefly according to how they will be used in the study.
