Past paper questions are a great way to test your knowledge and ability to apply your understanding
of a topic to unfamiliar situations. While CCEA can be great for past papers, the new specs may not
match old papers, or you may find that you are not getting enough practice in a particular area. This
is where WJEC Question Bank can be extremely useful.

All you have to do is select a subject (e.g. Biology) and examination level (e.g. GCSE), and then you
have access to all of the WJEC past paper questions for that subject. By using the keywords search
bar, you can search for a topic, e.g. “kidney”, and all questions relating to that topic will be available
for you to browse through.

Jetpunk is a popular quiz website that allows you to take and create quizzes on almost any topic
imaginable. Whether you want to learn all of the countries in Europe – or the world – for Geography
or memorise the Periodic Table for Science, there is a quiz for you to try.

If there is a topic you are struggling to learn information for, why not make a quiz and use it to
revise? Jetpunk is also accessible on a mobile so you can practice on your phone on the bus, in the
dentist’s waiting room or from the comfort of your bed. It’s quick, easy and might even manage to

Quizlet allows you to make and print flashcards, test yourself writing and matching vocabulary and
try fun revision games. It’s perfect for learning languages, especially for tricky vocabulary and verbs.
You can also use it to learn definitions for subjects such as Geography or Science, or to remember
important dates and names for History.

As well as creating your own flashcards and tests, you can also try sets of words created by other
users, and can search for any topic you want to study.

Everyone knows about YouTube, but it is a great learning and revision tool that not everyone utilises.
Almost any topic imaginable is covered, which can be great for subjects you’re struggling to

“StudyTubers” (YouTubers who create videos about school and studying) can also be helpful if you’re
looking for advice, revision tips or just need that boost of motivation to get started! Popular

Created specifically to help students of all ages understand topics they may find difficult, this
website has information for almost every subject imaginable, including the Sciences, Maths, English,
Geography, History, languages and more.

You can revise a wide range of topics for each subject, with easy-to-understand explanations and
colourful diagrams to aid your studying. There is also a glossary available at the bottom of each page
for definitions you may have forgotten or do not understand.

After revising a topic, you can then test yourself with premade tests specific to that topic, with
answers available for any question you got wrong.

In addition to the websites listed above, there are lots of other resources out there to try – there are
hundreds of revision websites, including s-cool, study rocket, revision world, get revising – as well as
apps available if you’d like to take your revision on the go. The most popular revision app Gojimo is
definitely something to consider, with thousands of questions available at the touch of a finger.

However, it is important to remember that Gojimo does not cover longer essay questions which
could come up on your exam, and may not cover everything you need to know.
