As a baseball player, Jackie Robinson thrived to become The best Especially the jack of all

trades and he followed in his brothers footsteps and wanted to be like him. *He had 3 kids
and a loyal wife*
My opinion on how he broke the color wall is that others helped him like branch rickey in
contrast pee wee reese, and his wife. And he had a partner to support him too.. The most
important factor I think is” family, friends and fans”. The reason he broke the color barrier
is because he had friends, friends.
My opinion on Jr's success is that others helped him on his way to make a free society of
baseball, he makes new friends and is one of the best in the league. Jr wanted a free society
so his kids would not live in a segregated world also so others would leave them and see them
as normal people. After Jr retired from baseball but he still did not give up on making the
world a free society. The important factor is family, friends, and fans.
Reason 1 :
The reason I think it’s family, friends, and fans is because Jr has friends and family to help
him get past the wall that was blocking him from getting to his goal like seeing his wife in
addititon and loner. A lot of peaple needed him now he needs them…
Reason 2 :
My reason two is that in Ken Burns' video talks about how He met his wife and how he
needs her. I know this because it says” there is no jackie robinson without rachel robinson.”
It supprots because you should know how it feels to have a partner to support you when you
are in tough times when you need them…
*text evidence*
It says on pg-38-41 says” the team warmed up to him on the train rides and they invited
him to play in their games”. Also says” Pee wee reese walked over to my dad on first base and
patted his shoulder. His words were important to him.”
*conclusion*
There were more factors that made Jackie Robinson a role model but it was the support
from others that helped him. The most important factor was support from family, friends
and fans that can help you in bad times.
Book: promise to keep.
Video: Ken burns.
