Agriculture is the main driver of Ethiopia's economy but faces many challenges due to unpredictable environmental changes and a lack of technology. Internet of Things could help address these issues by connecting devices to improve productivity, efficiency, and access to global markets while reducing costs and human intervention. This research will investigate how IoT technologies could contribute to poverty reduction in agriculture by meeting needs identified in communities and emphasizing solutions for deficiencies in manufacturing information, weather forecasting capabilities, income opportunities, ICT infrastructure, and farmer awareness of ICT benefits.

Agriculture is the backbone of the Ethiopian economy. Environmental parameters such as temperature, humidity, rainfall, and so on are rapidly changing unpredictably. Internet of Things (IoT) is advancement in technology that aids interconnectivity among intelligent devices and machines. It has tremendous success in health care, smart city, industrial production and so on. Internet of Things plays very important role to improve productivity, efficiency, global market. It also reduces human intervention, cost and time which are major factors in agriculture. Agricultural in Ethiopia face several similar issues in the domains of agriculture which calls for potentially similar solutions to be directed towards solving these issues. The aim of this research method is to investigate the potential contributions of internet of things technologies (IoT) towards poverty reduction in these agricultural, in line with the needs identified in these communities and with emphasis on agriculture. Statement of the problem Agriculture sector face a numerous difficulties which are against its growth. Some of the challenges are as follows. Deficient manufacturing information. Fewer capabilities touching the weather forecast. Not enough income assignment information. Poor Information Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure illiteracy. Lack over cognizance amongst farmers touching the advantages of ICT of agriculture. Marketing research knowledge or research centre. (xi) Keeping a song of the document manually.
