1.0 Technical Requirements

Video 1- There are a total of 3 additional shots compared to as proposed. Additional


shots include a medium shot of a door knob, medium shot of getting into the bed and
medium close up shot of being in the bed.

As for other technical usage, as the video was supposedly on high-key lighting set up,
I have used an already existing equipment such as bed lamp, lamps and ceiling lights.
I turned on all the switches to give the atmosphere a bright and clear lighting thus
resulting a high key lighting. The camera I used are iPhone 11 rear camera horizontally
to give more in depth narrative. Props usage are an iPhone 7, a bed and a hoodie.

For audio, I used the microphone embedded in the earphone. The dialogue by the
talent are from the microphone that are placed near the talent. Additional audio used
are iPhone ringtone that are used as a sound effect briefly in the video.

proposed. Additional shots includes a close up shot of talent opening doorknob and
getting into the room, a medium full shot of talent walking to bed and getting into bed,
and a close up shot of talent yawning before falling asleep.

and focused lighting on the talent to instill a low-key lighting. The camera I used are
iPhone 11 rear camera and wide angle camera horizontally to give more in depth
narrative. Props usage are an iPhone 7, a bed and a pockets of a pants.

3.0 Justification of the aesthetic

For both videos, the aesthetic was inspired by my interest in thriller and slasher movies.
As seen from Scream directed by Wes Craven, the phone calls scene are usually
intense with its background music that will instill fear in audience’s mind. The idea of
my video was a man receiving a mysterious phone call from an unknown number. The
man’s attitude, body language and sound became defensive as he picked up the
phone. The same concept from the film Scream are applied on my video because it
will leave the audience feel curious. The man then went to bed and goes to sleep
without knowing what danger awaits him after the phone call. It was a cliffhanger
ending inspired from Gone Girl (2014) and Us (2019). I wanted to give an open ending
concept for the audience to guess what could possibly happen to the man once he
goes to bed. Not only that, the lighting also plays a huge role in my video. As seen
from Video 1, the atmosphere feels light, despite the mysterious concept of the video
with the help of the high-key lighting meanwhile Video 2 is a bit dark, with the help of
a low-key lighting and it suddenly makes the video feels more heavy, such as those
slasher movies.

4.0 Post Production Colouring

No post-production colouring were applied. All production uses true colour by the lens
of iPhone 11 rear camera.
5.0 Colour Scheme used On Set

There was no specific colour scheme used on set as the lighting from the light sources
uses white/orange-ish colours. The colour scheme are of the true colour.
