Lesson 1
Pronouns/Personal Pronouns
- Pronouns/Personal Pronouns are used in place of nouns.
I- the speaker.
You- the person or persons to whom the speaker is talking to.
He- a boy or a man.
She- a girl or a woman.
It- a place, an object, or an animal.
We- two or more persons including the speaker.
They- two or more persons, places, objects, or animals about whom the speaker is
talking about.

Example:

I love to read.

You are my big brother.

We love each other.

He is Abdel.

She loves flower.

They have a ball.

It is a cat.

Possessive Pronouns
- Possessive pronouns are used in place of nouns to show possession or
ownership.

Possessive Pronouns
Mine
Example:
Hey. Look at these ribbons. Mine is the red one.

Yours
Example:
I looked everywhere for a green ribbon for you, Luckily, I have
found one in the supermarket. This is yours.

His
Example:
All the groceries are Mother’s, but that paper bag is his.

Hers
Example:
All the ribbons are color-coded. Hers is pink.

Ours
Example:
Here is your grocery bag, ours are over there.
Theirs
Example:
This is not Dasid’s store. Theirs is at the other street.

Demonstrative Pronouns
This- is used when we are referring to one person or object that is near us.
Example:

This is a ball.

That- is used when we are referring to one person or object that is far from us.
Example:

That is my ball.

These- is used when we are referring to two or more persons or objects that are near
to us.
Example:

These are my teammates.

Those- is used when we are referring to two or more persons or objects that are far
from us.
Example:

Verbs-Are action Words.

Present Tense- actions that happen habitually or regularly.

Past Tense- actions that are already done.
