An ophthalmoscope is a handheld device used to examine your eye's interior structure,

Vaginal A vaginal speculum is a medical gadget that allows doctors and nurses to see a woman's
speculum cervix and vagina better during pelvic exams. Most specula are composed of metal and
plastic, and a part of the speculum is inserted into the patient's vagina to split the vaginal
walls. Samples for testing may also be gathered. A bimanual examination is performed on a
woman's pelvic organs (such as the uterus and ovaries).

The purposes of health assessment are the following:
 For us nurses to gain a general idea of your health status in terms of your mental,
physical, psychological, and sexual well-being. Health exams allow you to adopt a
proactive approach to your health and screen for certain disorders.
 The purpose of Health Assessment is to describe a process of measuring your health and
ability to perform everyday skills during a hospital stay.
 The goal of Health Assessments can also include a predetermined list of questions or
tasks that staff members will ask you to complete. These are used to determine whether
or not an issue exists.
 The goal of a health assessment is to ensure that you receive the best possible treatment
while in the hospital and to aid in planning for when you leave.
 The purpose of Health Assessments are frequently performed to assist you track your
progress and identify your ongoing requirements.
