ACTIVITY 1.

Answer the following reflective questions in your Study Notebook: 

1. The closure of schools around the world due to the global pandemic posed serious challenges on the
delivery of quality basic education. As a teacher, what do you think are the fundamental concerns in terms
of curriculum standards that need to be addressed in order to ensure learning continuity? Cite a specific
example. Do you think these concerns could be solved by teachers alone? Why or why not?  

The teaching strategies and techniques used by teachers during instruction like lectures and
discussions, time allocation for instructions on the different learning areas, teachers’ attitudes and personal
beliefs related to the curriculum. And to add, the curriculum materials like textbooks, modules,
worksheets and electronic media to be used to ensure learning continuity.

The community and parents’ involvement will help teachers to focus more on the task of teaching
the learners. Having more contact and involvement with the stakeholders and parents, we teachers can
learn more about the pupils’ needs and home environment, which the information that we can apply
toward better meeting the learners’ needs during this global pandemic.
