b. Source Organism: Bamboo
c. Target Organism: Rice Crops
d. Modified/Added Trait: Resilient Rice Crops

Benefits:

1. The supply for rice crops will increase

2. If the demand of rice crops in our country is met with our own production of rice Philippines will
not be needing to import rice
3. If the supply of rice is greater than that the demand in our country, we will be able to export rice
4. The price of rice will drop

Drawbacks:

1. Harvesting the crops might be much difficult since the roots will thicken and will be penetrating
the soil deeper
2. The quality of might differ with the quality of the rice that we have now
3. Taking care of the genetically modified rice crops might cost more in terms of fertilizers and
other necessities needed for the plant to grow.
