1. SCOPE

This specification covers 600/1000V XLPE insulated, LSZH inner sheathed, single wire armoured
and flame retardant LSZH outer sheathed cables generally in accordance to IEC 60502-1 : 2009.

2. CONSTRUCTION

Conductor : Plain annealed copper, stranded, Class 2 as per IEC 60228

Insulation : XLPE compound

Filler : Where necessary, non-hygroscopic filler applied at manufacturer's discretion

Inner sheath : Black coloured low smoke zero halogen compound

Armour : Galvanised steel wire with binding tape

Outer sheath : Black coloured low smoke zero halogen compound having flame retardant
properties complying to IEC 60332-3 Cat. A

Core identification (by colour of the insulation)

4-cores : Red, Yellow, Blue, Black

Cable marking (by embossed or printed on the outer sheath)

3. TEST

c) High voltage test (a.c 3.5kV / 5 min.)

4. PACKING

Each length of cable shall be wound on reel to prevent damage during transportation and handling.
