Dear GOVERNOR CATAMCO:

This pertains to your advocacy to advance rural women empowerment through the
establishment of an enterprise project that can enhance their capacity to improve
productivity and increase income under the Gender and Development Program.

In view of this, we are respectfully submitting a project proposal for an enterprise that
will process, pack, and market pork meat sourced from the pigs raised and fattened
by women members of the TUWID Banayal Chapter. Through the project, the rural
women may be able to contribute to the community’s development through the
establishment of a responsibly managed small-scale meat processing facility.

Attached to this letter are our board resolution, the project proposal, our registration
certificate and other pertinent documents of our association for your reference.

RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE OFFICE OF THE HONORABLE GOVERNOR

NANCY ALAAN CATAMCO TO GRANT PROPOSAL FOR MEAT BASED WOMEN
LED ENTERPRISE OF THE ASSOCIATION

WHEREAS, TUWID-member beneficiaries are enterprising women-of-the-houses of

rice farmers, rubber tappers, farm laborers, and micro-service providers (retail
stores, automotive repairs, carpentry, and others) in Banayal community;

WHEREAS, TUWID Banayal Chapter was organized in Year 2016, composed of

those who used to be members of the IRC- KALIPI association that became dormant
and inactive;

WHEREAS, This IRC-KALIPI initially benefited from the assistance of the

Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) provincial office, and the Tulunan LGU. But,
the eventual leadership change and lack of continuing support adversely affected the
project’s implementation and rendered it dormant;

WHEREAS, now the TUWID Banayal Chapter would like to re-ignite its capability
and capacity and engage in a more responsibly managed enterprise project;

WHEREAS, the association has project proposal for an enterprise that will process,
pack, and market pork meat sourced from the pigs raised and fattened by women
members of the TUWID Banayal Chapter;

NOW THEREFORE RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED to request

Honorable Governor Nancy Alaan Catamco to grant the project for proposal of the
association to jumpstart simple meat-based women-led enterprise project in
 TUWID BANAYAL ASSOCIATION

Banayal, the women organization, TUWID Banayal Chapter, is expected to contribute

– even how modest – in advancing the causes of rural women for uplifting their
dignity through local community development participation;

FURTHER RESOLVED, the Association requests that the Governor approve and
appropriate funds for said project request.
