AWS Young Builders Challenge is an initiative by AWS launched in collaboration with the Ministry

of Education – Innovation Cell (Govt. of India), Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog, and Central Board
of Secondary Education (CBSE), supported by Code.org to promote and foster a scientific temper,
computational and design thinking, coding skills in young minds.
AIM: 1) To learn concept of AI and Cloud Computing
2) To build projects using interactive tools (https://code.org/educate/spritelab and
https://code.org/educate/applab ).
3) To showcase projects at national level.
Theme: How can Artificial Intelligence change India’s future

Sub Theme: Education, Agriculture, Healthcare, Transportation , any other

Eligibility: Classes 6th to 12th ( need to participate individually and not in groups)

Deadline: The last of registration and final submission is 5th November.

Steps to be followed by students:


✓ First give your details ( Name , Class and Section, Sub theme) as confirmation for participation.
✓ We will send you details to join on interactive tools (https://code.org/educate/spritelab
and https://code.org/educate/applab )
✓ Each student must create their individual project, and should not be done in groups.
✓ After completion of the project, the students need to share links to their projects (App
Lab and Spirit Lab), along with a project description of not more than 200 words to us before
5th November.
✓ Basic study material can be accessed from link: Learn – AWS Young Builders Challenge 2021

Awards and Recognitions:


✓ Certificate of Participation for all.
✓ The top 10 projects from across the country will be presented in a live virtual showcase ceremony.
✓ The top 10 schools a direct entry to the Junior Smart India Hackathon to be held in April 2022.
✓ The top 100 schools will be awarded, based on the final evaluation done at the national level among
the top projects submitted by each school.
✓ Additional awards will be presented to the top 3 schools with maximum participations
✓ There will also be a public voting mechanism for the top 10 projects, of which the top 3 public
favourites will be selected. The voting lines will open after the submission deadline.
