(DOST), National Capital Region, inviting the participation of Grade 7 to Grade 12
students from both public and private schools to join in the Social Media Content
Competition in line with the celebration of the 2021 Science and Technology Week
with the theme: “Agham at Teknolohiya: Tugon sa Hamon ng Panahon. The
deadline of the submission of entries for the said competition is on November
12,2021, contents of which are self-explanatory for your guidance and information.

The contest mechanics and guidelines are attached for your


perusal.

In line with the celebration of the 2021 National Science and Technology Week
(NSTW) with the theme, "Agham at Teknotohiya: Tugon sa Hamon ng Panahon ,
the DOST - National Capital Region Is holding a Social Media Content Competition.
The activity seeks to promote the 2021 NSTW and highlight the contributions of
science and technology to the communities in the National Capital Region. The
deadline for the submission of entries for this competition is 12 November 2021.
Please see attached Guidelines for more details on the competition.

In line with this, we would like to seek your assistance in promoting the competition
among your Grade 7 to Grade 12 students, either from public or private schools.

CONTEST GUIDELINES

Eligibility
1. The contest is open to all students from Grade 7 to grade 12 from public and
private schools in NCR.

II. Mechanics
Each participant shail create a content using Tiktok as platform in popularizing

S&T solutions in urban area such as NCR that is anchored on the theme for
the 2021 National Science and Technology Week (NSTW) Celebration:
"Agham at TeknoloMya: Tugon sa Hamon ng Panahonn.
2. The video should not exceed 1 minute and should not be less than 30 secs.
3. Use of texts and props is allowed .
4. Must be aligned with the theme
"Agham atTeknolohiya. Tugon sang Panahon ".
5. Must promote 2021 NSTW and highlights the significant contnbution of
science and technology to areas in Kabuhayan, l^ayusan at Kalusugan.
6. All entries must be original creation and not published previously nor entered

7. No profanity or inappropriate language.
8. No inappropriate gestures and must be in appropriate clothing.
9. During filming, it Is encouraged that participants abide with the lATF Protocols
on COVID-19. u J
10. No more 3 people can be In a frame together, although stitching can be done,
ll! There is a limit of one entry per person per tiktok account.
12. The contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or associated with any third
party, social media or social networking service site.
13. Winning entries will be re-posted to DOST-NCR's social madias.

15. Final artworks must be submitted on or before November 12,2021 (Friday),
5:00PM.
16. Top five winners will receive Php 3,000 pesos and
eadi. A load allowance worth Php 300 pesos will be rewarded to 10 entnes as
consolation prizes.
17 Winners will be announced during the Awarding Cer^ony on November 16.
’ 2021 (Tuesday) via the Zoom Meeting application with a live simulcast on the
DOST-NCR social media platforms. Further details to follow.

18 Further, by participating in this contest, the participants are deemed to have


agreed to allow the DOST-NCR to use their content/videos in anyof^s
publicity materials. The participant whose contentA/ideos is used by the
DOST-NCR shall be acknowledged, unless he/she refuses to be so
acknowledged.

III. How to Join


1 Log in to your TikTok account during the Entry Period and create Tiktok video
