WHAT IS KOREA TO ME

Hello everyone, RAHUL KUMAR(B.A.3 RD YEAR)

I am Rahul a 3rd year student of Nehru university. I think that learning Korean language is
a big luck to my life. Because I am going to speak about “what is Korea to me” in front of
you people.
Before I speak about “what is Korea to me” let’s know a little bit about “what is Korea”.
As we all know that Korea is a small country lies in the middle of Northeast Asia. And
divided into North and South Korea. Now let’s come to the point “what is Korea to me”.
If I say honestly,
To me Korea is small tree which is full of fruits. Fruits include culture, history, education,
manner, Samsung, LG, Hyundae, POSCO.
To me Korea is motivation, inspiration and hardworking country. To me why Korea is a
motivation and inspiration country. As we all know that Korea and India got
independence Approx the same time and start their journey to become a developed
country. But now Korea became a developed country and India still under developing.
Korea have only 30% plain land and 70% is mountainous. Even though Korea became
the 11th largest economic country in the world. But India have 70% plain land and 30%
mountainous even though India still under developing country.
The words of Ravindra Nath Tagore for Korea is 100% true.
The lamp of the east
In the golden age of Asia
Korea was one of its lamp bearers
And that lamp is waiting to be
Lighted once again
For the illumination in the east
This all became possible by the effort and dedication of Korean people and essential
work of Korean government. In my point of view Korea is a country like this. And if India
wants to become a developed country, then India have to follow the way of Korea’s
development without any hesitation.

안영하십니까? 여러분, 라훌 (3 학년 학생)

네루 대학교 3 학년 재학 중인 학생 라훌이라고 합니다. 한국어를 배운 것은 제 인생에서 큰

행운이 있어다고 생각합니다. 이렇게 여러분 앞에서 “한국은 나에게 무엇인가?”에 대해 말 할
수 있으니까요.

“한국은 나에게 무엇이가?”를 말하기 전에 “한국이 무엇인가?”에 대해 좀 알아 봅시다.

여러분도 아시다 싶이 한국은 아시아 북동쪽 가운데 있는 작은 나라입니다. 그리고 지금 한국은
남한과 북한으로 나누워져 있습니다. 이제 “한국은 나에게 무엇인가?” 에 대해 이야기해 봅시다.
솔직히 말하면 “한국은 나에게 과일로 가득한 작은 나무입니다. 여기 과일이란 것은 문화, 역사,
교육, 예절, 삼성, LG, 현대, POSCO 등 것이다.

“한국은 나에게 동기 부여와 영감 그리고 열심히 일하는 나라입니다”. 나에게 한국은 왜 동기

부여와 영감 나라인가? 여러분도 아시다 싶이 한국과 인도는 거의 동시에 독립을 받았습니다.
그리고 선진국이 되기 위해 여정을 시작했습니다. 하지만 이제 한국은 선진국이 되었고 인도는
아직도 발전 중입니다. 한국의 30% 전토가 땅이고 70% 전토가 산으로 이루워져 있습니다.
그럼에도 한국은 세계에서 11 번째로 큰 경제 국가가 되었습니다. 하지만 인도의 70% 전토가
땅이고 30% 전토가 산으로 이루워져 있습니다만 인도는 아직도 발전하는 중입니다.

한국에 대한 Ravindra Nath Tagore 의 말하는 것 100% 진심이었다.

“동방의 등불”

일찍이 아시아의 황금 시기에

빛나던 등불의 하나인 코리아

그 등불 다시 한번 켜지는 날에

너는 동방의 밝 빛이 되리라

이 모든 것은 한국 국민들의 노력과 헌신 그리고 한국 정부의 필수적인 일들로 가능했습니다.

제가 보기에는 한국이 이러한 나라입니다. 그리고 인도는 선진국이 되기 원한다면 어떤 망설이
없이 한국의 발전 방식을 따라야 합니다.
