HISTORY

The Relay For Life started in Boasted as one of the

1985 in Tacoma, Washington by largest fundraisers, it has
Dr. Gordy Klatt. It became a grown as a worldwide
global movement phenomenon

CELEBRATE REMEMBER FIGHT BACK

RFL celebrates life and, most importantly,
cancer survivors’ victory over the disease. At
the physical event, survivors take the first lap
around the track to celebrate their triumph while
other participants lining the track cheer on.
The Remember segment of RFL honours those who
have won the fight against cancer, and those who
lost. During the Remember segment, personalised
luminaria bags are lit and placed at the event venue
as glowing tributes to those affected by cancer.
This emotionally powerful segment inspires RFL
participants to take action. It symbolises the
commitment every individual can make in the fight
against cancer.

 Relay For Life is one of Singapore Cancer Society’s  It is also an excellent platform for cancer survivors,
signature fundraising events, dedicated to help caregivers and volunteers to be recognised,
fight cancer in our community. supported and connected through a strong support
system.
 Remind every cancer patient hope exists, and the
journey of life is one that everyone deserves to
cherish and enjoy.

 Through funds donated, time given, and

awareness raised, we work together to make a
difference whether we’re connecting virtually or
sharing a space

 It is an event built on love for humanity, life and a

willingness to Never Say Die!
