d. Concrete curing & protection:

1. Freshly placed concrete shall be protected from rain, wind, premature drying,
& excessively hot or cold temperature for the periods of time necessary for
hydration of the cement & proper hardening of the concrete.
2. Curing shall be done by approved water based chemical curing compound or
Wet burlap curing by water.

e. Hot weather concreting:


1. When hot weather temperature, humidity and wind conditions exist that would
seriously impair the strength of concrete, batching, transporting, placing and
curing of concrete shall conform to ACI 305 the ‘Recommended practice for
hot weather concreting’ shall be as follows;
a. Maintaining the required concrete temperature.
b. Mixing water shall be obtained from a cool source and kept cool by protecting
pipes & tanks from the heat.

f. Removal of form & shoring:

Formwork stripping time for structural elements shall be in accordance to


MOMRA; Division 03, Section 03100 as mentioned below;

i. Foundation & Grade beam – 12 to 24 hr.

B. Installation of Fence:

2.8 ORGANIZATION, RESPONSIBILITIES & SUPERVISION:

 The Project Manager


is responsible for assuring that adequate tools, equipment and qualified
manpower, foreman and supervisors are provided to implement the work
without delays and performing the work “right the first time”

 The Construction Manager


is responsible for Organization and control of engineering and site
development and overall execution of the contract scope of work safely
and meeting the customer‘s quality requirements.

 The QA/QC Manager


is responsible for the preparation of all Method of statement and
inspection and test plan required for the implementation of the approved
QC program and conformance with the contract specification.

 The Field Engineer/ Supervisor-


is responsible for the supervision of grading/ surfacing works conforms in
reference to approved drawings and is made parallel to required
Standards.
