This study examines using text mining to efficiently allocate human resources in construction projects. Résumés of candidates for a construction manager position were collected and analyzed using text mining nodes in KNIME. Keywords in résumés were matched and given scores based on their distance from the target job description. The candidate with the highest score, which matched the manual selection by human resources, was correctly identified as the best match. This demonstrates text mining can help allocate human resources in a shorter time than manual methods.

INTRODUCTION ‘matching’, and ‘showing result’.
This study is conducted to ascertain the eligibility and efficiency of applying the text- RESULTS AND DISCUSSION mining method to long descriptive résumés to Six résumés of different candidates who were resolve the problems occurred during the willing to be assigned a construction manager allocation of human resources (HR) in construction manager (CMr) position were construction organizations. Most HR collected. Match is determined based on no. of management (HRM) systems only allow HR distance and its weight. Two important indices managers to search for appropriate engineers or were extracted for assessment, one was the managers for a new project based on previous number of matched strings and the other was team names or the names of project that the the distance between each string. The distance engineers/managers worked on, job titles, indicated the accuracy of two matched durations of each project, etc whereas how keywords; for instance, ‘0’ was perfectly candidates perform on a new project greatly coincidental and ‘1’ showed a small, but differs depending on the specific tasks that each ignorable difference candidate performed for previous projects and Score = W0 ⅹ n(D0) + W1 ⅹ n(D1), the experience and skills that they gained where through these tasks.
