ABOUT FERNHILL ROYAL PALACE (OOTY)

 Fernhills Palace is the summer palace of the Mysore Maharajas.

 It was built in 1844 by Capt. F. Cotton.
 It changed several hands as the time went by till mid-1860s, when it was
temporarily named Moonesami and served as one of the Ooty's earliest
club hotels.
 The year was 1873 when Ferrnhills Palace found a new royal owner. His
Highness Chamarajendra Wadiyar X is the first Indian royal to buy an
English holding in Ooty.
 Since then Ferrnhills Royale Palace has been with the Wadiyar dynasty
and today it continues in the capable hands of His Highness Srikanta
Datta Narasimharaja Wadiyar.
 The palace is superbly finished with Burmese teak, features a magnificent
ballroom with a highly valued ornamental papier-mache ceiling.
  The Palace is spread out over 50 acres of lawns, gardens, and dense
woods. It is situated in the Nilgiri Hills, fringed by cardamom and tea
plantations and eucalyptus forests

What are HERITAGE HOTELS ?

‘Heritage Hotels’ cover running hotels in

palaces/castles/forts/havelies/hunting loges/ residence of any size built
prior to 1950. The facade, architectural features and general construction
should have the distinctive qualities and ambience in keeping with the
traditional way of life of the area. The architecture of the property to be
considered for this category should not normally be interfered with. Any
extension, improvement, renovation, change in the existing structures
should be in keeping with the traditional architectural styles and
constructional techniques harmonising the new with the old. After
expansion/renovation, the newly built up area added should not exceed
50% of the total built up (plinth) area including the old and new
structures. For this purpose, facilities such as swimming pools, lawns etc.
will be excluded. Heritage Hotels will be sub-classified in the following
categories:

Heritage:
This category will cover hotel in Residences/Havelies/Hunting
Lodges/Castles/Forts/ Palaces built prior to 1950. The hotel should have a
minimum of 5 rooms (10 beds).
Heritage Classic:
This category will cover hotels in Residences/Havelies/Hunting
Lodges/Castles/Forts/ Palaces built Prior to 1935. The hotel should have a
minimum of 15 room (30 beds).
 Heritage Grand:
This category will cover hotels in Residence/Havelies/Hunting
Lodges/Castles/Forts/ Palaces built prior to 1935. The hotel should have
minimum of 15 rooms (30 beds).

My point of view regarding welcome Heritage

 Some people prefer stay in palaces to experience the Royal Treatement

 The prices of ROOMS are to costly it starts from Rs.12000 per night
 The staff are well-Behaved
 The dinning experience is really good
 The beds are really big in which more than 3 people can sleep
 The garden is well-maintained
 They provide service 24/7
 You can see few wild life animals in the properly
 There are many antique things which we can view
 There are many photos of the early kings and there achivements
 You can even Host a weeding in this property

My point of view regarding HYAAT

 Its an business class hotel

 The price of room starts from Rs.6000 per night
 The staff working here are qualified in hospality
 You can have different cuisine of food in the hotel
 They have good security services
 The even have jacuzzi
 They provide WIFI
 The water in the bathroom taps are purified water (less salt content)
 They have systamated car parking
 They accept online booking

Conclusion
Different people have different taste and way of living some prefer comfort and
some prefer new and different experience

According to me I would prefer welcome heritage due to its history and royal
experience and the climate in this place
