III. Procedure Methods

TEACHER’S ACTIVITY STUDENT’S ACTIVITY

A. PRELIMINARY ACTIVITY
1. Prayer

May we all stand to feel the presence

of the Lord. Jamaica kindly lead us a
prayer.
(In the name of the Father, of the Son, and
the Holy Spirit, Amen.)

2. Greetings

Good afternoon, Class!

Good afternoon, Ma’am.
Before you take your sits, kindly
arrange your chairs and pick up those
litters around you.

Then, you may now take your sits.

Thank you, Ma’am.

3. Checking of Attendance

Princess is everybody present today?

Yes, no one is absent ma’am.

That’s good to hear class! Very good

4. Review

Let’s have a review about your past

lesson.

Class, anyone from the group. What Ma’am solving equation and inequality is
talks about solving equation or finding the value or values of the variables
inequality? that will satisfy the equation or inequality.

Exactly!

What are the considered properties or

equality or inequality before you can
solve an equation or inequality?

Let’s start in the Properties of

Equality. Ma’am Addition Property of Equality (APE).

Kindly give one, Mark Jervin.

Very good! The (MPE) Multiplication Property of

Equality.
Another? Zaskhiya?
Very good! The last two are: Reflexive Property and
Symmetric Property of Equality (SPE)
Last two for Equality. Yes Simon? ma’am.

Exactly!

For the properties of Inequality. The Axiom of comparison and Transitive

Property of Inequality ma’am.
May we hear from, Rhaina?

Yes ma’am, the (API) additional property of

Very good! Inequality and Multiplication Property of
Inequality (MPI).
There some more?

Excellent, Jillien!
None ma’am.
Now, do you have any questions or
clarifications with regards to
properties for equality or inequality
class?

Alright, if none then let us proceed to

our next lesson. But before that, let us Yes ma’am!
have a game first.

Do you want to play a game class?

Ok, that’s good to hear!

B. MOTIVATION

Okay class, before we proceed to our

next lesson let us identify first the
pictures that will present in your
screen. Our game entitled “FOUR
pics ONE word”

I’m going to flash pictures and all you

have to do is to identify it in a fastest
way.

If you know the answer, just raise

your hand and state your answer
quickly.
Yes Ma’am!
Every correct answer is equal to 1
point.

At the end of our lesson, the student

who has the highest points will be
given a reward.
Ma’am point.

Alright, are you ready class?

Let’s start…
1.

Line.

2.

Plane ma’am.
3.

Very good class!

C. LESSON PROPER

Based on your answers such as

“POINT, LINE, PLANE” will now
lead us to our lesson one for this
quarter. The Basic concepts and terms
in geometry.

Before that, in Euclidean Geometry,

the geometric terms point, line, and
plane are all undefined terms and are
purely mental concepts or ideas. None ma’am.
However, we can use concrete objects
around us to represent these ideas,
and make it abstract for you to better
understand the concepts of geometry.
Thus, these undefined terms can only
be described.

For you to better understand the three

undefined terms here is short video.
All you have to do is to watch and
take down notes. Afterwards I’ll ask
questions. Any clarification class?

Guide Questions:
1. What are the three undefined
terms?

2. What is the figure of each

undefined term?
3. What is/are the description of each
undefined term?

4. What are the given examples

object in each undefined term?

5. Give name/notation of each

undefined term.

Here is the video watch attentively.

Answer the guide questions by filling Point, line, and plane ma’am.
out the table below. I’ll give you 5
minutes to finish your activity.

Dot ma’am.

Time is up…

What are the undefined terms in

geometry?
A point has an exact location in space and it

has no dimension.
Class, the first undefined term is
point.

What is the representation of a

point? A tip of a ballpen ma’am.

Exactly!

What is the description of a point?

Point A ma’am.

Based on its description, on the Ma’am a Line.

video, and its representation, kindly
give an example of an object.

Excellent! A straight line with a set of points arranged

in a row. It is a one-dimensional figure.
Anyone from the group, who can
give name/notation of a point. If we
use a capital letter to name a point.

Yes, Hannah?
It is extended endlessly in both directions. It

Now, who can give another undefine

term? Yes Joshua?
line guides on intermediate papers.
So, what is the representation of a
line?

Excellent!

Who can now give its description? Labeled with a single lowercase letter or it

Very good!

What do you think is a best object

that portray a line?
None ma’am.
Excellent!
How to name a figure of line?

R V m

Zaskhiya?
The last undefined term is the Plane which its
figure is slanted four sided figure where it
must be a flat surface.
Exactly!

Any clarification class? A plane is a set of points in an endless flat

surface. It has no thickness extends
indefinitely in all directions.
If none, lets proceed to the last
undefined term.

Volunteer? What is the last Ma’am Single capital script letter or by three
undefined term and it’s noncollinear points. Where we can read it as
representation? Plane A or Plane ABC

Yes Joriz?

Very well said!

What is the description of a Plane?

Very good!

What is the notation of a plane?

Exactly!
Another way to determine a plane,
we have the following:
a. Three non-collinear points.
- If three or more points do
not lie on the same straight
line, then they are said to be
non-collinear points.

b. Two intersecting lines.

- When two lines share exactly
one common point, they are
called the intersecting lines.
c. Two parallel lines. Yes ma’am.
- two lines that are always the
same distance apart and never
touch. In order for two lines to
be parallel, they must be Illustration

Understand class?

The three undefined terms in Plane

Geometry are point, line and plane.

Jamaica, kindly read and explain the

illustration of collinear.

Joshua, read and explain the

illustration of coplanar.

Very good! Jamaica and Joshua.

Is there an any clarification?

D. APPLICATION
Class since you already know what is
the undefined terms. Let’s have a
game. First three to get the correct
answer will gain point.

ACTIVITY 1: objects representing

the undefined terms.

These are some of the objects around

us that could represent a point or line
or plane. (Answers may vary.)
All of you must comment your
answer in the chat box, if the object
presented in your screen is POINT,
LINE or PLANE.
(Students clap)
