Atomicity: Either all or none, i.e. either commit or rollback.

Consistency: Before the txn starts and after it finishes, the sum of money should be the
same. E.g. an amount is transferred from acct A to B.
Isolation: Convert a parallel schedule to a serial schedule conceptually.
Durability: All the changes done in the DB should be permanent.
