The preservation of our common home is inextricably linked to our understanding

of peace and is a necessary component of Peace Education. Environmental
protection strives to develop, promote, and maintain the natural environment to
nourish humanity and preserve the integrity of creation. Environmental education is a
means of educating people about environmental issues, assisting them in problem-
solving, and taking steps to improve the environment. As a result, people have a
greater understanding of environmental issues and are better able to make informed
and responsible actions.

Environmental education informs individuals about the existing state of the

environment and its prospects. It teaches people to study all environmental issues
and to engage in environmentally-conscious actions. Environmental education
teaches students how their choices and actions affect the environment, as well as
the knowledge and skills needed to address complicated environmental concerns
and strategies to keep our environment healthy and sustainable in the future. The
purpose of environmental education is to produce environmentally literate and
responsible citizens who will guard and preserve the environment while also
ensuring the sustainability of the earth's resources for the longevity and stabilization
of life.

As a member of your
community, how can you be of
help to your community during
disaster?
 NSTP-1I

Shaira is presenting…..
When a natural disaster occurs closer to home or affects people you know, it can
be much more stressful. It's also a good idea to discover a way to help. We can make
a difference when we channel our empathy into action. As a member of our
community, I will assist in any manner that I am able. I'll volunteer for disaster relief
and do something helpful. I will ensure and assist in educating the people in our town
on what to do before a disaster strikes, so that when it occurs, everyone is safe and
no casualty result.
I will inform the people in our community about the precautions they should take
before, during, and after an evacuation or disaster since having an emergency plan is
critical.

Dealing with the aftermath of a disaster can be just as stressful as the disaster
itself. I will make sure that everything is organized with the assistance of my fellow
volunteers, and if there are individuals missing, I will participate in the search and
rescue operation.
Simple acts of kindness bless others. Giving and helping others is a great
approach to make a difference in people's lives. Even simple gestures of compassion
and generosity have an impact. It serves as a reminder to others that they are not
alone. And that there are others wanting to help.
