DATA GATHERED

Dishwashing Liquid as Insecticide for Plants

Materials Quantity
Dishwashing Liquid (Joy, Lemon) 1 Tablespoon

Vinegar (Silver Swan) 1 Tablespoon

Water 1 Liter

Spray Bottle 1 Pc

Procedure
 Prepare all materials and tools before you start the experiment
 Prepare 1 liter of water and pour it in the mixing container
 Measure 1 tablespoon of dishwashing liquid (Joy, Lemon)
 Measure 1 tablespoon of vinegar (Silver Swan)
 Mix all the ingredients/materials and stir/shake it thoroughly
 Place the solution in to a spray bottle/container

How to Use
 Look for a plant that is infected by insects
 Place the plant away from non-infected plant
 Apply the solution every afternoon, between 4-5 pm
 Spray 3 times, direct to the insects in your plant
 Spray 4 inches in distance from the plant
 Water the plant every morning
 Spray 3 times a week if the condition is severe
 If it already recovered, spray once a week for maintenance

These are the data we gathered during our 1week evaluation/observation to our product
“Dishwashing Liquid as Insecticide for Plants”.
The insects found are:
 Red Ants
 Black Ants
 Worms
 Spider Mites
 Aphids

June 17, 2021 Observation:

First Apply The insects were still alive and active


and it seems like the insecticide did

June 19, 2021 Observation:

Second Apply The number of black ants decreases


but the other insects still count the same.

June 21, 2021 Observation:

Third Apply All insects were gone, also we have


observed that the leaves are slowly

the insect bites.
We stopped spraying the solution and
we have observed that the plant is still
June 23, 2021 recovering from the damage caused by
the insects.

Observation:

July 3, 2021 The insects were totally gone and we


also observed that the plant was slowly
coping up and recovering, the plants was
still alive and the leaves looks more alive
than before.

Summary:
We applied the solution three times only because the insects were totally gone
after the third application of the solution. The last time we visited (July 3, 2021) the plant
was truly coping up and recovering from the damages it got from the insect bites. We
have decided to stop applying the solution instead came up with the idea of spraying
once a week for maintenance.
