SUBJECT: Annual Convention of the Philippine Wound Care Society on

September 9-10, 2019

The Philippine Wound Care Society will be holding its Annual Convention entitled
“PWCS @ 10: Abreast with Global Multidisciplinary Wound Care Practices” on September
9-10, 2019 at the EDSA Shangri- La Manila, Mandaluyong City.

Attendance of concerned physicians, nurses and allied medical staff in DOH

hospitals shall be on Official Time at no expense to the government except salaries.

All other transactions shall be in accordance with Department Order (DO) No. 2007-
0053, entitled “Guidelines on the Attendance to Conventions/Seminars/Conference and
Similar Human Resource Development Activities Outside of the Department of Health,” and
DO No. 2014-0094, entitled “Guidelines on the Allowable Rates of Payment for Human
Resource Development Activities.”

Attached is the letter of invitation with other details for your ready reference.
Dissemination of the information to all concerned is requested.

Greetings from the Philippine Wound Care Society...

The Philippine Wound Care Society will hold its Annual Convention entitled “PWCS @ 10: Abreast with Global

Multidisciplinary Wound Care Practices” on September 09 & 10, 2019 the Edsa Shangri-La Manila,
Mandaluyong City. The society has put together a scientific program that covers the basic principles of wound care
to the current advances in the said field. Attached is a copy of the scientific program for your viewing.

The Philippine Wound Care Society is a non-profit, non stock organization founded on September 09, 2009 with the

purpose of improving the wound management in the Philippines through education. The society which is composed
of physicians from different specialty groups (General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Internist, Family Medicine,
Endocrine, Diabetology, Cardiology, Vascular Medicine, Rehabilitation Medicine, Dermatology, Vascular Surgery,
Cardiothoracic Vascular Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Plastic Surgery & other specialties) and allied services
(wound care nurse, physical therapy & other services) brings together professionals involved in wound care. The
society has been conducting educational activities in cooperation with other organization
