BACKGROUND
Specifically, the insured hotel suffered damages in the rooms with a view
to the sea, gardening, electrical installations, etc., causing its total paralysis.
2. DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPERTY
The Club Regina Los Cabos hotel is composed of 7 buildings with 286
modules distributed in 130 rooms with sea view, of which 104 are "Suite"
with a bedroom module and one living room module and 26 "Grand Suite"
conformed of two modules of bedroom and one of lobby, all of them totally
equipped with tub of hydromassage or kitchenette, air conditioning, private
bathroom with shower, safe security, smoke detectors, and cable/satellite
television.
The Club also has two swimming pools and a wading pool, a restaurant, a bar,
a pool bar, kids club, and business center.
The hotel stands on a plot of approximately 41,000 m2, in which
distribute the room buildings with 2 and 3 levels and the hall buildings,
offices, and general services of a double height floor.
Its structural system based on cement block load-bearing walls duly
confined with chains and reinforced concrete castles, the floor system is
resolved with solid reinforced concrete slabs.
The finishes are cement-sand mortar flattening on walls, with the exception of
the wet areas of bathrooms where it has marble lambrin. The floors are marble
in rooms, in corridors and in common areas. Outdoors the floors are of
concrete.
3. DAMAGES
Various inspections were carried out to locate and identify the damage
suffered in the buildings that make up the property.
Below is a general indication of the damage observed:
• Detachment, breakage or deformation of aluminum gates
• Breakage and wetting of drywall panels
• Damage to wooden elements such as access doors, interior doors and
communication, closets, and cupboards.
• Damage to electrical accessories and lamps due to wetting
• Deterioration of air conditioning equipment.
• Breakage of waterproofing due to impacts from objects that fell on it
• Damage to paint on walls and ceilings
• Deterioration of ornamental plants and gardens

4. CLEANING AND DEBRIS REMOVAL


Due to the damage caused by hurricane "Odile" in the Hotel, the company
COTTON carried out cleaning and removal of debris in the building, both in
the buildings that integrate it as in outdoor areas.
In order to have control of the time used, they prepared a daily log in which
He indicated the personnel and the work carried out by each of the crews.
For the cleaning and removal of debris, the crews worked 14,565 hours in
1,695
days, thus having an average of 8.6 hours per day and considering that they
worked 24 days, an average of 70.65 wages per day was used.
