This article describes how and why the Rodney A Briggs Library choose make the
reference desk mobile. It is filled with practical ideas on how to make in-person reference
services available in locations outside the library building.

This article focuses on the technical end of customer service and roving reference. It
discusses different types of communication devices and summarizes the effectiveness of these
