6B  Talk about the future
Instructions
You will need: one copy of the board per three or four students; one dice
and three/four counters per group

• Put students into groups of three or four. Give each group a board,
counters and dice. Students can use a mobile phone or digital watch
as a timekeeper.
• Students take it in turns to throw a number. When they land on a
future square, they have to talk about the topic or question for
20 seconds without stopping. With a less confident class, you can
allow students 20 seconds’ thinking time before speaking.
• If a student can’t think of anything to say, or stops talking before the
20 seconds are up, then they have to move back to their previous
square.
• The student who reaches the Finish square first is the winner.
