ADUC Library - COVID 19 Guidelines

1. The Library and reading areas should maintain the minimum 2 metres physical distancing
between one user to others.
2. The patrons should be wearing masks, gloves and use hand sanitizer (over gloves)
whenever accessing the library premises.
3. The Library patrons should have the Covid-19 negative result to visit/access the Library
premises.
4. The ADUC is sanitizing Library’s materials, Counter, Computers, Reading areas in
periodically.
5. The Library users has to keep the return and reference materials in the drop box and the
same has to be proper sanitized and shelved back after 48 hours of quarantine.
6. ADUC Library switched maximum textbooks from hard copy to eBooks through Vital
Source platform.
7. ADUC library is delivering the Arabic and leftover batches of the hard textbooks to the
students with proper sanitizing by visiting the Library with their recent Covid-19 negative
result.
8. ADUC Library also sending the books through Aramex courier services with the proper
sanitizing based on the student’s request.
9. The ADUC Library users are always encourage contact the Head Librarian for any kind of
request @ library@aldar.ac.ae and can Contact at 04 282 6880 Exn: 536.
10. The students and faculty members can be search the books are available (Online
Catalogue) in the library through EIAS Faculty and Students portal.
11. ADUC Library also supporting for its users for the Distance/Online learning method during
the pandemic situation. The resources and its access details are as follows.

coverage for thousands of publications, most of which are available
in full text and the latest business and financial information for
researchers at all levels.

This portal ca be accessible through EIAS Faculty & Students Portal and also from the

a) DeepKnowledge is an online platform that enables library end

users to conduct searches on various subscriptions and online
resources simultaneously and retrieve the results in a consistent
and ranked format, and get access to full text articles, journals
remotely.

E-Textbook Portal Vital Source – Bridge

ADUC Library sending an email to Faculty members and Students based in their course
registration for the availability of the e-textbook access through Vital Source platform.

a) VitalSource Bookshelf is an e-textbook platform that allows you to

access course materials whenever and wherever you choose
laptop, desktop or mobile device. You can download texts directly
or access them via your browser.
